Vestbyens Børnehus is seeking 1 pedagogical assistant for BØRNEHAVEN starting 1/1/2027 or earlier if possible

The position is initially on 37 hours per week.

In Vestbyens Børnehus we work with the Potential Profile as the foundation for our pedagogical approach to working with children and our colleagues, which means we have a professional meeting every 14 days where we discuss pedagogy based on the latest knowledge in the field.

The work at Vestbyens Børnehus is based on a holistic view of the child. We strive for an inspiring learning environment that should strengthen the possibilities for each individual child to become as resilient as possible, and ensure the best conditions to succeed and gain value in the community. We are a classically room-divided institution, because we believe it is in the safe, close environment that relationships are formed.

However, we still believe that children should be presented with more than just their own room, therefore we have several different arenas where the children are during the day, as we know we have a greater opportunity to see each child if we are in smaller groups. Therefore we work among other things with a “safari group,” which is a group of children that is outside for 14 days at a time, because we very much want to use our learning environment outdoors all day, and not only at noon.

In addition, we also have a preschool group where the focus is not on “tasks” but more on experiencing and exploring the surrounding world as well as forming relationships with the peer children you go to school with.

The work at Vestbyens Børnehus aims to take its starting point in the child's zone of proximal development, support learning and development through structured, didactic and pedagogical activities.

20 pedagogues/pedagogical assistants

5 assistants

2 Resource pedagogues

2 kitchen assistants

In addition, we regularly have student pedagogues and PA apprentices in the house.

Salary and conditions of employment according to the applicable collective agreement. Upon hire, Ikast-Brande Municipality reserves the right to obtain a child-care clearance with the applicant’s consent
