Pedagogical assistant wanted for a special "flyer" function in Børnehuset Nova's nursery department

Would you like to be an important part of everyday life in our nursery – where the need is greatest?

The position differs from a regular childcare assistant role in that you are not attached to one fixed room. Instead you become a flexible and present resource across the nursery's rooms. You step in where you are needed – for example in case of absence, vacation, preparation time, meetings or other situations where the rooms need extra hands and secure adult support.

About the position As a "flyer" in the nursery your task is to support the children's everyday life across the department. This means that you must be able to enter different groups of children, collaborate with different colleagues and quickly create calm, security and overview.

You will among other things have to

• participate in the daily pedagogical practice in different rooms
• support the children in routines, play, meals, dressing and bedtime
• create security and presence, also when you switch between groups of children
• help with staff absence, vacation, meetings and preparation time
• collaborate with the room's permanent staff and follow their structure and agreements
• be flexible in relation to the day's needs and tasks

• can receive messages and quickly join existing routines
• have an eye for where help is needed
• are stable, responsible and meet children, parents and colleagues with respect
• preferably have experience from day care or work with small children – but the most important is your approach and your engagement

Your role is to create coherence and stability across when everyday life calls for flexibility.

Employment terms The position is 37 hours per week with starting as soon as possible.
