Pedagogical assistants with an interest in training for nurseries and kindergartens in the City of Copenhagen

Would you like to switch tracks to become a pedagogue and work as a teaching assistant while you study? We will pay for your track-switch merit pedagogue education, and you will have a job guarantee when you graduate as a pedagogue.

As a teaching assistant, you help plan the children's daily life and create meaningful learning environments that benefit the children's development. You must therefore be passionate about working with children aged 0-6 years and have given careful thought to why you want to train to become a pedagogue.

We are looking for you who dream of using your abilities in a new way, have experience with children and are ready to take the next step.

You will work 30-37 hours per week alongside studying for the track-switch merit pedagogue education at Copenhagen University College of Education (Københavns Professionshøjskole). After 2.5 years you will be a finished pedagogue with a job in the City of Copenhagen.

It is important that you

• have experience working with children aged 0-6 years in a nursery or kindergarten
• are motivated to further educate yourself to become a pedagogue and have given relevant thoughts about why
• speak and write good Danish, as you will be a linguistical role model for the children.

In addition, there are some requirements from the educational institution that you must meet to be admitted to the track-switch merit pedagogue education

• you have a bachelor, professional bachelor or master's degree
• you speak and write good Danish – if you have a foreign education or have completed your education in English, there are certain language requirements you must meet.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. See here what you earn as a teaching assistant . Before employment we will obtain references as well as child and criminal background checks. The positions are typically 37 hours per week. The number of hours may change when you start the education and must be agreed with your supervisor.
