Pedagogical consultant for development and supervision in the daycare sector

Daycare and schools are rapidly evolving in Helsingør Municipality. We are in the process of a major strategic transformation of our area with a focus on creating participation opportunities for all of the municipality's children and young people – regardless of the background each child brings. We can only succeed if the professional quality of our daycares and schools is high.

Supervision and development of our daycares

As a pedagogical consultant you will cover a wide range. Together with our other pedagogical consultant you will be responsible for carrying out supervision in our daycares and private nursery arrangements in the municipality. Our supervision concept is based on observations and dialogue, and it plays an important role in the quality development of the municipality's daycares.

You will concurrently lead and participate in various development projects and initiatives in the daycare area. This can for example include supporting the work with our resource pedagogical initiative, which is an important partner in connection with follow-up on supervision, work with implementing a pedagogical room plan, planning of leadership meetings in close collaboration with the head of daycares, or sparring with the daycares’ leadership about new approaches to practice.

Wish list for a new pedagogical consultant

• You have a high pedagogical professionalism and first-hand experience from daily life in a daycare institution.
• You are analytically strong and good at communicating in writing and speaking.
• You are passionate about strengthening early intervention and coherence in children's lives 0-18 years across the governance chain from daily life in a day care to the political level.
• You have experience with or good prerequisites for project management, from project initiation to the project being fully completed.
• You thrive with a wide range of tasks from operations to development
• You are good at creating relations and collaboration, also across disciplines.

Join the team

As a pedagogical consultant you will work closely with the leadership of the daycare area, which consists of a daycare chief and two professional leaders.

You will become part of a consultancy team in the Staff, which consists of two pedagogical consultants, four school consultants, and a number of cross-disciplinary consultants with different competencies and areas of responsibility. In the team we have different profiles that can supplement and support each other in task solving. We have a close and trusting collaboration between administration, daycares and schools as well as the family sector.

The consultancy team is part of the Staff in the Center for Children, Youth and Families and is physically located at Prøvestenen in Snekkersten, close to the highway exit and public transport.

We offer a flexible and family-friendly workplace with high ceilings. At the same time there is great freedom to shape your own tasks. The food in our canteen receives praise, and the lunchtime conversations are lively across disciplines.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, and the salary is set according to the current collective agreement as well as the principles of new pay. A criminal record check and a child protection clearance are required. The position is desired to be filled on 1 January 2027.
