Pedagogical support for structure and independence – 15 hours per week

Do you have experience with autism, ADHD and anxiety? And would you like to support a 30-year-old woman in creating structure, overview and greater independence in daily life?

About the task

We are looking for a staff member for a woman with autism, ADHD and social anxiety, who needs pedagogical support to create structure and manage the various daily tasks.

She has many interests, including computer games, music, drawing, reading and yoga. She can be vulnerable to changes and become insecure in social situations. In addition, she can quickly become overstimulated and lose overview, which is why she benefits from clear communication, predictability and a calm approach.

Your task will be to support her in mastering daily practical and social challenges. This can include help with creating an overview of finances, handling mail, understanding inquiries from public authorities, as well as planning shopping and cooking. You will also support her in transport training and gradually becoming more comfortable participating in smaller social communities.

An important part of the job is to build a trusting relationship, where you through conversations, clear guidance and motivation help her develop strategies that strengthen her independence. It is important that you can adapt the support to her daily form and create progress without pressuring.

About you

We are primarily looking for a trained pedagogue with experience in autism, ADHD and anxiety. You can also be untrained if you have solid relevant experience and the right competencies for the task.

You have knowledge of autism pedagogy and a low arousal approach and understand the importance of structure, predictability and clear communication.

As a person you are calm, patient and listening. You are good at building trust and can convey information in a concrete and clear way. At the same time you are able to support the citizen’s development at a pace where she can keep up and experience mastery.

Working hours

The position is 15 hours per week, distributed on weekdays. The working hours can be in day, afternoon and evening slots, and the concrete distribution is agreed with the client.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension according to the National Agreement entered into between FOA and Danish Industry. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
