Pedagogue for the Special After-School Institution at the School in Peter Vedels Gade (maternity leave cover)

And do you have a strong drive and a warm heart for this group of children?

Then it may be you we are looking for, as one of our pedagogues in 3rd grade will go on maternity leave.

We can offer you a dedicated work community where professionalism and development of the pedagogical practice are high on the agenda. The everyday can be busy and pedagogically challenging, but you will have competent colleagues around you, and we solve the tasks in collaboration.

The Special Leisure Institution at the School in Peter Vedels Gade is an integrated after-school provision at a special school for normally to moderately gifted children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and various additional diagnoses. The school has 75 children from 0-9th grade, and the majority attend the after-school provision. We are housed first on Amager and share premises with the school.

We are organized in teams, where pedagogues and teachers work closely together around the children’s teaching and leisure. Each team is linked to a group of seven- to nine children. A large part of your workday takes place during school hours, and it is important to us that there is a good and equal collaboration between the two professional groups.

Our core task is for the children to become as capable of life as possible. In practice, you together with your colleagues should create the basis for this through creativity, initiative and autism/ADHD expertise, so that good child communities and positive adult contact arise. In the school part you will, among other things, work with supportive teaching and not least you will teach in social studies in order to develop the children’s self-understanding and social skills through that.

We have an engaged group of parents who are very interested in their children’s school and leisure life, and who are our most important partners.

We work according to annual norms and the working hours are currently in school weeks from 09:00-16:00/17:00 and in school holidays from 07:00-17:00.

Salary and employment terms

The maternity cover is full-time (37 hours per week) with start on January 1, 2027. The temporary position lasts about one year. Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the appointment we will obtain a child and criminal record check and take references.
