At Højager Nursery, we work from the fundamental understanding that secure relationships are the foundation for children9s wellbeing, learning and development. We prioritise that children are met by attentive and relationship-skilled adults, as we see the relationship to a secure adult as a crucial prerequisite for the child9s wellbeing, learning and development.

Everyday life is characterised by structure, familiarity and care. We emphasise that it is the adults who create a predictable and secure everyday life, and therefore it is important for us that you see value in working in a structured way.

We work with strong communities and view it as a central task to create inclusive learning environments where all children feel they belong.

We are a small house with three rooms, where there are up to 12 children in each room and three fixed staff members attached to each room. This provides good opportunities to get to know the children and their families well and create a safe and manageable everyday life.

Although we are divided into rooms, both children and adults know each other across the house. Children benefit from knowing all the adults, and it creates extra security in everyday life. We see this as one of our greatest strengths.

We place great emphasis on collaboration across the rooms. We help each other, share knowledge and lift together. It also means that we step in for each other when someone is ill, on breaks, and in other situations where an extra hand is needed.

We prioritise outdoor life and the local surroundings and often go on trips in the area, among other things with our cargo bike, so that children have the opportunity to experience and explore the world around them. 🧸 About the position

The position is full-time with start on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

Your working hours will be between 6:45 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday and between 7:00 and 16:30 on Fridays.

You will become part of a dedicated team where we prioritise professional reflection, sparring and a everyday life with room for both laughter and professionalism. 💛 We are looking for someone who

• Is a qualified educator.
• Sees stable and secure relationships as the foundation for children9s wellbeing, learning and development.
• Is present all day – from good morning hugs to the last goodbye of the afternoon.
• Has an overview in daily life and can keep calm when the pace sometimes changes.
• Can work in a structured way, take responsibility and reflect on one9s own practice, including planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical processes.
• Wants to contribute to the community across the house.
• Meets children, parents and colleagues with an appreciative and positive approach.
