About the job

Do you believe that all people have the right to a meaningful life with development, community, and influence on their own daily life? And are you passionate about creating opportunities for people who need special support in order to live life on their own terms? Then you may be exactly who we are looking for!

At Lindebjerg we are seeking pedagogues or staff with other relevant education and/or experience in the social sector.

Working hours are distributed across day, evening, and weekend shifts, including every other weekend work.

The positions are with a start on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.

Who are we Lindebjerg Residential Facility is a 24/7 staffed residential facility, pursuant to the Danish Housing Act §105 with support under the Social Services Act §85, for adults with physical and mental disabilities. There are 64 units distributed in 5 smaller units, of which one unit is a psychiatry unit. Each unit is managed by an accompanying multidisciplinary staff team.

The residents are primarily aged 18 and older, two places are approved for youths from age 16. Residents have significant and permanent functional limitations of varying nature – including Down syndrome, psychiatric diagnoses, autism spectrum disorders, nonverbal communication, immobility, etc.

There is wide variation in residents’ functional levels, but the common factor for all residents is that they need individualized compensatory educational support and guidance to make everyday life work and to participate in social communities.

We work at a professionally high level, which means that all staff participate in supervision and theme days aimed at social and health-professional grounding and method development, just as we consult with each other in everyday work.

We work according to the personal policy values of Assens Municipality, which means we strive to be decent, open, engaged, ambitious, and trustworthy.

We also have a focus on development, respect, job satisfaction, and psychological safety, as well as a positive and flexible approach to work.

We have a particular focus on interprofessional collaboration and rehabilitative approaches. You will share responsibility for establishing, assessing, and evaluating social-educational measures and activities that support the resident.

The pedagogical work The pedagogical work is based on the order prepared by the authority department in consultation with the resident. The order is prepared to include the resident’s wishes, needs, and resources.

You will have the opportunity to apply your pedagogical expertise and help create development, quality of life, and opportunities for our residents to participate.

Professional plans and ongoing documentation of defined goals will be created via our IT system, Nexus.

The social and health professional interventions are performed in accordance with the provisions of the Service and Health Act.

Who are you It is important that you work rehabilitatively and inclusively. In addition, we would like you to:

  • be a trained pedagogue and/or have another relevant background and be conscious of your professionalism and be able to apply it
  • can and will work systematically and from a rehabilitative approach
  • thrive in the interprofessional collaboration
  • can maintain an overview in a busy daily life
  • be robust and able to work both independently and in teams
  • can articulate your professionalism and intervention – both verbally and in writing
  • can and will work with personal care and nursing based on the individual resident’s support needs
  • can and will work according to health professional delegations, cf. Assens Municipality’s delegation principles
  • can work with residents who may have challenging behavior
  • are able to work in a changing daily life
  • work from the premise that the resident’s wishes and needs largely define your effort
  • are willing to wonder and articulate your wonder, so that it creates learning for all
  • have good collaboration skills and are open and flexible regarding working hours and task solving

We are looking for you who sees value in small steps, rejoices in the big moments, and knows that the relationship is often the beginning of everything.

We offer With us you can look forward to

  • an exciting workplace in change
  • present leadership and framing
  • colleagues with strong professional engagement
  • a workplace in development with innovation and professionalism as a top priority
  • influence on development
  • a staff group that places high importance on the work environment and wellbeing
  • great freedom to shape your own daily life and develop your professional skills in cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • a strong team with professional commitment and a heart in the right place
