Are you a People Business Partner who wants to work close to the business - where People & Culture is a sparring partner for managers rather than a support function?

At hummel, we are strengthening our People & Culture team to support the development of our organization. We are looking for a People Business Partner who can own the key people processes from recruitment to farewell, challenge and coach our managers, and help build the leadership our teams need to win.

You will be joining a People & Culture team of 5 people responsible for the full employee lifecycle - across the hummel Group, working closely with managers across the business and reporting directly to the Group People & Culture Manager.

THE ROLE 💥

As People Business Partner, you become the go-to sparring partner for the managers in your area. You own the key people processes from the first job profile to the final farewell, making sure the fundamentals are done right every time. And you know our business well enough to challenge - not just support.

YOUR PLAYING FIELD ⚽

• Recruitment in your area, end to end. You define the job profile and interview plan with the hiring manager before sourcing starts, run structured interviews, take part in final-stage decisions, approve offers within our salary bands and hand over cleanly to onboarding.
• People Development. You facilitate discussions with managers, capture succession risks and development needs, and make sure actions are followed up.
• From contract to farewell. No contract or addendum leaves your area without your review - legally correct, on time and aligned with policy and labour law. You coach managers to give structured, timely feedback, and when someone leaves, you own a respectful exit process and turn the learnings into lower turnover.
• Concepts and projects. You operate our existing people concepts, and you take ownership of people projects that move our business and culture in the right direction.
• Travel. In this role you will be responsible for different locations and markets. You will be present at our location in Padborg 3-4 days per month.

You are comfortable balancing recruitment and other employee-related initiatives with practical operational support and thrive in an environment where priorities shift and new needs arise.

You are pragmatic, adaptable and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently. You enjoy creating structure, improving ways of working and taking responsibility for both planned initiatives and unexpected tasks.

YOU BRING 🦾

• Some years of experience as an HR/People Business Partner, ideally in a commercial, international company
• Solid understanding of Danish labour law and employment contracts
• A track record as a genuine sparring partner for managers - you understand commercial reality, structure and priorities well enough to challenge, not just support
• Experience in running structured people processes such as recruitment, people reviews and salary reviews - and making sure follow-up actually happens
• Fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken
