About the job

Would you like to help shape a new physiotherapy function at a care center where relationships, professionalism and quality of life go hand in hand?

At Holbergcentret we are looking for an engaged physiotherapist who wants to become part of a daily life in development. The position is relatively newly created, and therefore you will have a unique opportunity to shape content, working methods and collaboration interfaces in close dialogue with residents, nurses, social and health care workers, and management.

We do not necessarily know exactly what all tasks will look like in a year. What we do know is what we want: to create the best possible framework for our residents to live a dignified, active and meaningful life.

About the position

The Older Persons Act calls for new ways of thinking about elder care. We therefore work purposefully with holistic care, rehabilitation and person-centered interventions, where the resident's wishes, resources and life story are the starting point for the support we offer.

As a physiotherapist you will become an important partner in this development. You will have the opportunity to work both with residents close to home and cross-disciplinary, and you will become a central sparring partner for colleagues regarding mobility, training, prevention and maintenance of functional ability.

The tasks may include

  • Assessment of residents' physical level of function.
  • Individual training and maintenance programs.
  • Rehabilitative interventions in daily life.
  • Consultation and guidance to staff regarding transfers, mobilization and aids.
  • Participation in interdisciplinary meetings and resident pathways.
  • Contribute to the development of the physiotherapy services at Holbergcentret.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the visions behind holistic care and the new Older Persons Act.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are a licensed physiotherapist.
  • Have an interest in the elderly field, rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Can work independently and at the same time thrive as part of a community.
  • Desire to develop new solutions rather than merely take over existing ones.
  • See opportunities rather than limitations.
  • Are curious about how physiotherapy can contribute to quality of life and self-determination for elderly residents.

Experience from a nursing home, home care or similar is an advantage, but not a requirement.

What do we offer?

  • A newly created position with great influence on one\'s own daily life.
  • Opportunity to put your professional mark on the future of elderly care.
  • Close collaboration with skilled and engaged colleagues.
  • A workplace with short decision-making paths and room to think big.
  • A culture characterized by integrity, humor and willingness to find solutions together.
  • A daily life where the relationship with residents is as important as the professional interventions.

About Holbergcentret

At Holbergcentret we believe that a good life continues throughout life. We work from a person-centered view of humanity, where the individual resident is seen as more than their illness or limitations. Together with the resident, the relatives and our interdisciplinary staff we create the framework for a home where safety, dignity and joy of life go hand in hand.

If you would like to help build something, influence the direction and put your professional skills to use in a strong interdisciplinary community, we would very much like to hear from you.

Salary and terms of employment
