About the job
New year – new job? Do you want to be one of the adults children remember?
We are looking for a new pedagogue who wants to make a difference in children's lives, dare to take pedagogical leadership, and meet children with warmth, curiosity and clarity. That’s what we call being a pilot in children's lives. You don't have to control everything – but you must dare to set the course, take responsibility and be the adult that children can orient themselves after – both when life is hard, when it is exciting or filled with new experiences.
Who are we, and what are we known for?
Evigglad Børnehus is an age-integrated preschool with 15 lovely toddlers and 39 equally lovely preschool children. We are a DGI-certified sports, play and movement preschool, and it’s not something hanging on a wall in glass and frame – it is something we do. Every day. Body, movement, play and senses are the foundation of our pedagogical practice, because we know that children learn with their whole bodies. The head can forget – but the body remembers.
But what perhaps describes us best is our pedagogical compass. It has been developed together with the staff over time and has become our shared benchmark. It guides the choices, actions and priorities we make every day, and helps us stay on course and the way we want to be adults in children’s lives:
· Strong and binding communities of children : We deliberately work to create opportunities for participation so that all children experience belonging, influence and meaning in the community. The goal is that all children have the opportunity to participate, contribute and develop.
· Pilots who take pedagogical leadership : We are clear adults, which creates security, structure and predictability. We set direction, have expectations and persist in working with children’s creativity, self-regulation, joy of life and belief in their own abilities.
· Inspiring and developmental learning environments: (Moving) play is the most important arena for children's well-being, learning, development and formation. Therefore we create environments where children can explore, make mistakes, succeed and try again. In this way, children’s experiences today become life-ready competences tomorrow.
· Professionalism and reflection : We act consciously and with a basis in professional knowledge and experience. We evaluate daily, reflect and continuously develop our practice – always with the children in mind.
· Our cornerstone values are : Professionalism • Trust • Presence • Courage • Humour • Curiosity • Equality.
And when we are in doubt we ask: What does it mean for the children – and what does it require of us adults?
We also have a work environment compass that emphasizes
· We talk with each other and not about each other
· We do something about what we can do something about
· The group mentality dominates the house
· Moods are contagious and words create reality
· We are loyal to one another
We are indeed a dedicated work community where the work environment is characterized by high professionalism, humor and social capital. We have chosen to take the handle when we arrive – the children do not have that – and that commits us.
If you can see yourself navigating by our compass, you may be the pilot we are looking for.
What do we need, and what do we hope you can contribute?
In recent years we have worked with Charlotte Runges’ perspectives on the nervous system’s importance for readiness to learn and Ulla Dyrløvs’ perspective on being a "pilot" in children’s lives.
Therefore we are looking for a pedagogue who
- Wants to be part of and contribute to our movement profile.
- Has something on their mind – we would love to hear what you as an pedagogue are focused on.
- Dares to take clear, pedagogical leadership, has overview and organizational skills.
- Has a clear professional identity, can justify their professional choices and is reflective about their own and others’ practice.
- Focusses on language development by consciously nuanced speech in different contexts.
- Is concerned with the importance of play for children’s well-being, learning, development and formation – and dares to play, including balancing child- and adult-initiated play.
- Has an eye for the significance of one's own nervous system in interaction with children, colleagues, leaders and parents.
- Maintains calm, overview and presence, even when everyday life does not go as planned – and creates safe frames for the children.
- Contributes actively to the work community with engagement, humor and responsibility.
- Meets children, parents and colleagues with respect, authenticity and professionalism.
- Has HUMOUR and, even in a serious context, can have fun in a proper way at the same time.
We are looking for a colleague who will help develop themselves with us, contribute to the community and make a difference for the children we are here for. Children first. Always.
And as a new colleague you could expect to meet
- Dedicated colleagues who know what they are passionate about – and who support each other.
- A clear, pedagogical profile and direction.
- Weekly preparation time.
- Clear and trust-based leadership with expectations and lots of professional elbow room.
- Wonderful children who will definitely run into your arms when you walk in the door.

Practical
We are part of Børneinstitution HCA-Seden/Agedrup and participate in a strong professional community with six other kindergartens: Kildegården/Månen, Fjordager, Fridasholm, Seden, Hvenekilden and Pilebækken. With us, play creates magic.

1st interview: Ongoing.
2nd interview: November 16, 2026.
Start date: January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

The recruitment process consists of two interviews.
- The first interview takes place at the kindergarten as a practical interview, focusing on relationships and interaction with children. You will be asked to initiate a short play with a group of children.
- If there is a good match, you will be invited to a second and more traditional interview 16 November at Institutional Leader Malene Bundgaards’ office at Ejby Kirkevej 15.
