About the job

Apply for this job

Do you want to shape how an entire development organization builds, publishes and operates software in Azure and GitHub?

We are looking for two Platform Engineers for the team. The role spans multiple technologies and domains, and we do not expect you to be an expert in them all. Instead we expect you to bring solid experience in a substantial part of the area and have a strong technical foundation.

You thrive with complex problems, learn quickly, and are curious about technologies you do not yet know. If you can see yourself in a large part of the job posting, we would love to hear from you.

Who we are

Technical heavy tasks start with us, where we make it usable for the rest of the organization – as self-service, best practices or concrete examples to build on. We take ownership to get it out into life in teams, without becoming the bottleneck on the way.

We own and maintain a few central components. The responsibility for what teams can drive themselves we hand over to them. In this way knowledge lies in many heads while teams themselves prioritize work and maintenance in the long term.

You will be part of a small specialist team with competencies in DevOps, Azure, integration, API strategy and testing. Integration here means the Azure landing zones where we run the applications that bind the rest of the system landscape together. We set direction, create tools and remove friction so developers can focus on what matters for their teams.

What we are working on right now

  • Strengthened security on the platform . We raise the security level across our Azure environment so that the secure choice is part of our standard solutions – not something teams have to remember to build on top of.
  • AI in developer work . We are shaping an AI-assisted Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), where modern AI tools help our teams develop, test and deliver software faster and with higher quality. As part of the team you will have the opportunity to help define how AI should be used in future development platforms.
  • Developer self-service. We will make it even easier for teams to go from idea to running application without going through us. Fewer manual steps, better standard solutions and a platform where the right way is also the easiest.
  • Lifecycle across the system landscape . Our many systems have environments and release flows that are closely tied together in ways that are currently managed manually. We are working to make the interplay between them explicit and automated – primarily through technical solutions in GitHub Actions.
  • GitHub Enterprise & developer tooling. We own the configuration of our GitHub Enterprise – a moving target where new features and planned retirements require ongoing work. In addition, the integration and access management between GitHub, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Advanced Security, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube and Azure must be built and kept together. And it is about getting the tools out to life in teams: help them get started well and use them correctly, so they can then themselves drive it further.

The nature of the work

Azure landing zones, GitHub integration and access model are largely in place, but not static – GitHub Enterprise and our developer platforms are a moving target requiring ongoing maintenance. Much is already built on top of it – and we add to and improve it continually. The daily technical choices are yours to make. The role is not a pure architect or a pure developer; it is the kind of work where you must be able to investigate a concrete situation, dig deep enough to understand it and find the right solution within the existing constraints.

The work spans both breadth and depth. You should be comfortable pulling on PaaS when that is the answer – and just as comfortable digging under the abstraction when it isn’t: into Entra and the access model, the container’s resource consumption, the network layer, token and trust flows between GitHub and Azure, or the mechanics behind GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners. We pursue the underlying causes, not the symptoms, and let measurements and experiments guide where there is real value to harvest.

You think across many teams. What you build should be shareable as a pattern or example that other teams can grasp and build on at their own pace – not as central code they become dependent on. Your own IaC should also be able to be rolled out, versioned and rolled back as easily as it was set up. For you, IaC is not just a deployment tool – it is the way you try things out. You provision an isolated environment, test a hypothesis, tear it down again. That is how you move quickly without compromising control.

A lot of what you solve does not exist as a ready-made answer anywhere. However, there is a close link between what you see in your daily work with teams and the architecture and governance decisions being made around you. What you observe becomes input that helps shape the direction.

What the day-to-day looks like

The majority of your time is spent building and coding: primarily Terraform run from GitHub Actions against our Azure workloads. Part of your time is spent helping teams move forward through PR reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing – and conveying what you hear from teams as input to the architects.

There is no on-call duty. It is a deliberate design choice: we build PaaS-first precisely to avoid it. If something goes wrong, we resolve it during working hours – and use the opportunity to remove the root cause, not just the symptom.

In short, you build platforms, standards and tools that make it easier for other teams to develop, deliver and operate software. You help set the direction, remove friction in the developer experience and ensure the platform improves over time.

About you

We imagine you have experience with

  • Azure and GitHub, including both using GitHub Actions for CI/CD and automation in product teams as well as administration and development of GitHub Enterprise
  • Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code – as the primary working method
  • CI/CD, role- and access management and troubleshooting in cloud environments
  • Security work in Azure – preferably private networking, managed identities and RBAC
  • To operate professionally in both Danish and English, spoken and written

Knowing GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, JFrog Artifactory or SonarQube is a plus – but not a requirement.

Experience with AI tools in the development flow, or a willingness to dive into it, is a big plus.

We are open to profiles with different levels of experience. You do not need to know everything from day one, but we expect you to come with a strong technical foundation and experience in a significant portion of the areas we work with.

Success after six months

You understand how the organization builds its solutions, and you feel at home in it. You experiment without being afraid to break something, because you have the tools and the framework for it. And what you say counts – both in the technical decisions on the platform and in what the architects base theirs on.

We offer

  • A central role in shaping the direction for a broad development organization
  • Real influence on platform, tools and ways of working
  • A strong professional environment where we take security, quality and developer experience seriously

We are based at Midtermolen with a fantastic view of the water and just a stone's throw from Østerport Station, making it easy to get here – whether you cycle, take the train or walk. Here you get not only an inspiring work environment, but also a daily life where the balance between work and leisure is at the forefront.

We offer an attractive compensation package with benefits such as dental and health insurance, discounts on private insurances and flexibility with the possibility of remote work. At the same time you can engage in our sports and employee associations and become part of a strong social and professional community.
