Platform Engineer – Open Source & Kubernetes

💡 What does the job involve?

As part of our Infrastructure team you will be a central player in delivering open source-based platform solutions to both public and private customers.

You will be one of the profiles that customers lean on when making decisions about platforms, architecture and technology choices. Therefore you will not only work on implementations but also on consulting, design and technical sparring.

You will have the opportunity to shape solutions that work in practice – often in environments where requirements for stability, security and scalability are high.

Your tasks will include

• Advising on modern open source platforms and infrastructure solutions
• Design and implementation of container and virtualization platforms
• Automation of operations and deployment processes
• Technical sparring with customers, architects and development teams
• Troubleshooting and optimization of complex environments
• Contributing to architecture and solution design

🧠 You will also be working with

• Kubernetes, OpenShift and Rancher
• Docker and Podman
• Linux platforms
• Virtualization, including KVM
• Technologies and products from Red Hat, SUSE and Ubuntu

We do not expect you to be an expert in everything. Instead, we expect you to have a solid technical foundation, strong views on good infrastructure and a desire to continually develop yourself.

We imagine that you

• Have at least 5 years of experience with infrastructure, platform engineering, operations or consulting work
• Have solid experience with Linux and open source technologies
• Have worked with containers and container orchestration
• Have experience with virtualization and modern platform solutions
• Can translate technical possibilities into concrete solutions and recommendations
• Are comfortable in dialogue with technologists, architects and decision-makers

And as a person

• Are curious and professionally ambitious
• Takes responsibility and works independently
• Thrive in complex technical problem statements
• Are happy to share your knowledge with others
• Want to develop both customers, solutions and colleagues
