Plumber and Electrician for the Technical Installations Team in the Center for Culture and Properties in Furesø Municipality

Center for Culture and Property seeks a new plumber (VVS’er) and an electrician for daily energy optimization, operation and maintenance of the municipality's properties.

The Department of Construction and Maintenance is under the Center for Culture and Property, and is responsible for new construction, conversion and renovation, as well as operation and maintenance of, for example, schools, after-school centers, day-care facilities, sports facilities including swimming pools, cultural institutions, etc.

Our Technical Installations Team consists of 4 employees who are specialists in technical installations primarily related to heating, water, electricity and ventilation. Maybe you are the new one in the team?

The team ensures safe operation of the technical installations, in terms of comfort, energy efficiency and follow-up on service contracts. In addition, the team ensures good customer service and adapts the technical installations to the users’ core tasks.

The property portfolio comprises about 190 properties, and the total property portfolio is about 241,000 m2. The property area consists of about 80 employees who are highly dedicated and capable colleagues, including engineers, master plumbers, technical service staff, cleaning personnel, etc.

About the positions

As a plumber (VVS’er) you will primarily handle the following tasks

• Daily operation of heating, ventilation and water installations, etc. in all properties, with particular focus on plumbing (VVS). Including replacement of smaller technical components within applicable rules
• Continuous monitoring of plants via CTS in collaboration with colleagues
• Troubleshooting on heating, water and ventilation installations
• Ability to work independently on smaller energy optimization tasks
• Contribute with proposals for larger energy optimization tasks and projects. This can include – but is not limited to – technical solutions, alternative energy forms, behavioural focus and operational optimization
• Contact with/co-ordination of external suppliers in connection with own tasks
• Process user reports in our Facility Management system MainManager
• Advising and guidance through dialogue with the technical service staff and users on property-related Facility Management tasks, and not least being able to put customers and users at the center for the benefit of their core functions
• Review of the properties’ heating systems
• Thrive in keeping track of complex technical installations
• Overlap in connection with holidays and sickness. It is therefore important also to have some knowledge of electricity.

As an electrician you will primarily handle the following tasks

• Daily operation of electrical, lighting, automation and technical installations on all properties. Including replacement of smaller technical components within applicable rules.

• Troubleshooting on electrical, lighting, automation and technical installations
• Ability to work independently on smaller energy optimization tasks

Collaboration

Many of the tasks overlap with other disciplines, which is why it is important to be able to collaborate across disciplines and have an understanding of these.

Close collaboration with the maintenance and energy group, especially the machine masters.

Close collaboration with the plant team on new construction and renovation to ensure energy, operation and maintenance in the new projects going forward, as well as ensuring a good handover of new buildings to safe operation.

Close collaboration with the technical service staff in the Technical, Operation & Service department as well as the Service on call.

• Be able to think in better energy behavior for the users of the properties
• Be able to work with CTS at user level, and therefore be able to change/optimize operating times and parameters in relation to heating, ventilation, lighting control, etc.
• Possess responsiveness to stakeholders’ wishes and needs. You must have the ability to advise them on the consequences thereof
• Think holistically in Facility Management and focus on synergy in the property area and across users and properties
• Be able to work independently and be helpful to colleagues
• Have good communication skills, be outgoing and willingly share learning
• Know Office suite at user level
• Work in a structured manner
• Be proactive

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and on the basis of Ny Løn (New Pay) principles.
