About the job

PPR seeks a special pedagogical consultant for a 37-hour position with start on 01.01.2027. In Roskilde PPR, together with schools, we are committed to the ambition of strengthening the didactic and pedagogical learning environments so that all children and young people can thrive, learn and develop in our schools and after-school offerings. This includes working with the political vision that more children and young people are ensured good well-being and development in their local environments.

We believe that the smallest unit is always the community and we strive to come together in local work communities with the aim of creating and supporting strong child communities, relationship-capable adults, and engaging teaching in safe and inclusive environments.

About the position: We are looking for a special pedagogical consultant who can

  • Advise teachers and educators in general and special education contexts and be good at translating special pedagogical knowledge and methods into concrete and usable practice
  • Lead by example and create followers in change processes while also being listening and investigative regarding experiences and perspectives from children, parents, teachers and educators
  • Create coherence between pedagogical efforts for individual children and the broader class community
  • Be continuously curious about and work with your own function and position as a consultant
  • See the potential in participation opportunities in the schools’ learning communities

As a special pedagogical consultant with us you will have a fixed attachment to general education schools and/or special provision. Here you will, together with the school leadership, pedagogical staff - as well as multi-disciplinary colleagues from PPR - help strengthen the learning environments around individual children and the entire class community.

Who are we: PPR Roskilde is a cross-disciplinary department that advises and guides on the development of children and young people from 0 - 18 years. We focus on creating development opportunities for children and young people in collaboration with parents and with the municipality’s schools and after-school offerings. The aim is, through early and coordinated efforts, to support children’s and young people’s opportunities to develop and to thrive in their communities.

Our organization consists of speech-language pathologists, psychologists, special pedagogical consultants, special pedagogical advisors, an administration and a management team. We are a large organization with about 80 staff. The professional level is high and the desire for interdisciplinary collaboration great. We are committed to creating good opportunities to learn together and to strengthen an investigative and curious culture.

In Roskilde, PPR is organized under the Department for Children, Youth & PPR. There is a close and coordinated collaboration with the day-care and school departments, including many cross-cutting projects and development work at both the administrative level and in practice.

We expect that you

  • Are a trained teacher, preferably with a postgraduate degree such as cand. pæd. pæd. psych, candidate in inclusion, PD in special education or equivalent
  • Have experience in guiding teams in primary schools
  • Incorporate the child’s voice and parents’ perspectives as a central part of your guidance
  • Can adjust your approach and input to the pedagogical effort so your guidance meets the team’s needs regardless of their current situation
  • Are passionate about working closely with schools’ pedagogical and didactic practice
  • See potential in and have experience with community-building didactics and community-building instruction
  • Thrive on solving a wide variety of tasks both independently and in collaboration with others

We offer

  • A meaningful and flexible job where you make a difference for children, young people and adults in the school area
  • A dynamic workplace with many new and diverse tasks
  • Opportunity to influence a newly established school team consisting of consultants, psychologists and speech-language pathologists
  • A community with 10 caring, listening and capable special pedagogical consultants who support each other professionally and know how to enjoy each other socially
  • Regular time for sparring in the professional group, with the nearest supervisor and across disciplines
  • Good opportunities to put your mark on the joint task solution
  • Thorough onboarding process and assigned mentor for the initial period.
