Practice Consultant, practicing physician to Frederikshavn Municipality

Frederikshavn Municipality wishes to strengthen the collaboration between general practice and the municipality's health-focused areas even further and therefore seeks a practice consultant who can support this.

The practicing physicians are a central part of the healthcare system and an essential partner regarding the municipality's health tasks and with great importance for a well-functioning cross-sectoral collaboration around patients and citizens.

The overarching purpose of Frederikshavn Municipality's practice consultant scheme is

• Develop the quality of patient pathways by promoting collaboration between hospitals, general practitioners, and the administration's health sectors.
• Act as a link and sparring partner between general practice and the municipal health area in a dialog-based collaboration.
• To advise and assist the municipality in developing the medical dialogue and collaboration with the general practitioners and hospitals.
• To advise the political and administrative leadership, including the Municipal Medical Committee, on matters relating to municipal tasks within the health sector.

As a practice consultant you will undertake tasks where there will be opportunities to involve other general practitioners in concrete assignments. You will also be involved in the work with the general development of the municipal health tasks.

Examples of current task areas are

• Implementation of the health reform and the 10-year plan for psychiatry in general
• Support for the Nursing Home Doctor Scheme
• Collaboration between the municipality and general practice on pregnant women, small children and schoolchildren
• Support for smooth transitions between general practice and municipal health services

We expect that the upcoming practice consultant

• Will be a general practitioner in Frederikshavn Municipality.
• Sees exciting opportunities in the development of the local municipal health system.
• Has knowledge of the Northern Jutland health system.
• Has good collaboration skills and an interest in advising, coordinating and building bridges between the different parts of the health system.
• Has an eye for optimizing workflows between general practice, region, and municipality
• Has interest in collaboration and experience with the health sector as a whole
• Is good at both written and oral communication.

We can offer that you as a practice consultant will receive

• Management reference to the center chief Trine Vahlberg Holmberg, Center for Health and Elderly Care
• Participation in and tasks for the Municipal Medical Committee
• Invitation to an annual consultant meeting within the Nord-KAP framework and the possibility of further cross-sector collaboration as needed

Salary and employment conditions

A framework has been set at a maximum of 100 hours per year per practice consultant. Honorarium corresponding to the consultant rate used by Nord-KAP.

We will strive for most of the working time to be after 16:00 on weekdays, but you should expect that part of the working time may take place during daytime (before 16:00).
