Technical Product Management for high-performance infrastructure, data center and programmable hardware

Napatech is seeking a technically strong Product Manager for their Product Management team in Copenhagen. The role is for you who thrive at the crossroads between customers, product strategy, R&D and complex hardware/software platforms – and who can translate technical customer needs into concrete use cases, PRDs, acceptance criteria and roadmap decisions.

Napatech has its headquarters in Søborg and sits in a technically very exciting field where software, hardware and network infrastructure come together. The company develops programmable hardware and SmartNIC solutions that help customers move demanding workloads away from traditional server CPUs and closer to the data plane.

With a technically heavy R&D environment of 55 specialists in software, FPGA, hardware, QA and product development, Napatech works with solutions that have direct relevance to data centers, networking and AI infrastructure. This makes the role particularly interesting because you not only work with product requirements, but with complex HW/SW platforms that affect performance, architecture and scalability in customers' most critical systems.

Role

This is not a classic commercial PM role. It is a technical product role, where you must be able to understand the customer's technical problem, articulate it precisely, structure the requirements and communicate the product direction credibly internally toward R&D, Product Management and leadership.

The role is tightly anchored with the VP of Product Management and provides the opportunity to build deep insights into Napatech's products, customers and roadmap. Over time, the ambition is that you take gradually greater responsibility for product lines, customer dialogue and strategic product decisions.

You will be responsible for selected key customers and a concrete product line. Your focus will be to understand customers' needs in depth and translate them into product requirements that can scale from single customer cases to broader market opportunities.

You will become a central bridge between customer, Product Management and R&D, and must be able to balance customer value, business impact and technical complexity. It requires a profile that can listen, analyze, document and have complex systems explained and anchored internally.

You will, among other things, work with

· Product Management responsibility for selected key customers

· Collection, documentation and prioritization of customer requirements

· Development of use cases, business problems and desired outcomes

· Product Requirements Documents, acceptance criteria and requirements prioritization

· Roadmap input based on customer needs, market potential and technical feasibility

· Close collaboration with software, FPGA, hardware and operations teams

· Product lifecycle support, launches, customer enablement and handover to Operations

· Gradual assumption of responsibility for a Napatech product line, including programmable hardware

Your profile

The right candidate has solid experience from technically complex environments where hardware, software and infrastructure meet. It could be from data centers, networking, server technology, embedded, semiconductor, telecom, industrial IoT or similar platform environments.

You do not necessarily need to come directly from the FPGA or SmartNIC world, but you must have a technically solid foundation to quickly understand Napatech's platform and be able to engage in a qualified dialogue with both customers, R&D and management.

We envision that you have experience with several of the following areas

· Technical Product Management, Product Ownership or Product Definition

· Integrated hardware/software products

· Infrastructure, networking, data center or server technologies

· Requirements management, PRDs, use cases and acceptance criteria

· Customer-facing technical dialogue with enterprise or key customers

· Roadmap prioritization and product lifecycle

· Collaboration with R&D, engineering, hardware, software, FPGA or operations

· Ability to translate complex technical input into clear documentation and decision-making grounds

You won't just 'collect requirements'. You will help assess which customer needs can realistically become scalable product opportunities, and ensure they are described so precisely that R&D can act on them.

You will come close to technically demanding customers, complex technical systems and product decisions that have direct impact on Napatech's roadmap and growth journey. The role therefore requires both technical understanding, commercial sense and the ability to set direction through facts, structure and clear documentation.

It is a role for an analytical, technically grounded Product Manager who creates credibility through insight, precision and the ability to translate complex needs into concrete product decisions.
