Apply for the position
In Sweco's Water & Climate department we are looking for project engineers to work with a wide range of tasks within climate projects and stormwater management. Is this you we are looking for?
In the department we work with critical infrastructure within water and climate, and focus on developing systems that are robust, efficient and future-proof. Heavier rainfall, rising groundwater and longer heat periods push our current infrastructure and require solutions that protect people, buildings and nature and create value for future generations. In the Water & Climate department we work across disciplines to develop and implement holistic solutions.
We design rainwater and wastewater systems, safeguard urban areas against cloudbursts and design LAR solutions that handle water while promoting urban life, biodiversity and aesthetics.
We carry out tasks across the country for municipalities, utility companies and development companies. Through integrated advisory we collaborate with colleagues in infrastructure, construction and architecture. We advise throughout the process from planning and design to supervision and construction management and offer the right competencies for any project – all to create more value for our customers and the communities we live in.
Your work will form the basis for decisions that protect homes, businesses and critical infrastructure from floods and damages. In this role you will be able to see your imprint in squares and streets that can handle cloudbursts, in a nature that thrives, and in people who feel safe.
Due to increasing project volumes, we are experienced and proactive project engineers. We want engineers who can immediately join projects dealing with drainage, rainwater management and climate adaptation .
About the job
As an engineer and expert in rainwater and wastewater solutions with us, you will be a central player in cross-disciplinary advisory projects that have great significance for society's infrastructure and safety. Your role spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to design, preparation of tender documents and possibly supervision and construction management. Your tasks will include:
- Design in 2D and 3D in Bentley tools including MicroStation, Drainage and Utilities and Dandas-graph.
- Preparation of the drainage technical parts of a tender in connection with tender projects.
- Contribute to and conduct discipline control and interface control of both your own projects and other projects.
- Discipline supervision and/or construction management.
- Join professional networks with a focus on knowledge sharing and sparring.
About you
We imagine that you are familiar with drainage technology and have ambitions to develop both your own skills and the professional environment around you. You master collaboration in a project organization while being able to work independently. Your proactive nature and ability to handle multiple tasks at once make you thrive in a dynamic environment. Even under time pressure you ensure that well-thought-out and quality-oriented decisions are always made.
To succeed in this position, we imagine you have the following competencies and experience:
- Have a relevant engineering degree.
- Have at least five years of experience – preferably from a similar consulting engineering company. We do not accept junior profiles for this posting.
- Solid understanding of drainage techniques and experience with 2D and 3D design using Bentley tools, such as MicroStation, Drainage and Utilities, and Dandas-graph.
- Attention to detail and a strong will to deliver well-thought-out and quality-oriented solutions.
- Proactive approach to task solving and ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and changing tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.
