About the job

Adventure in Greenland – Close collaboration with management – Personal and professional challenge

The job

Our client still wins many exciting tasks, and this time the company must deliver a large project in West Greenland. The company therefore needs to expand the organization with a strategically strong and unifying project manager who will take the final responsibility for the task and a central role in the entire process. When the project is delivered, you can look forward to new exciting projects or say thank you for this time and travel home to Denmark.

Brief description of the project

The project is an extensive turnkey contract worth a large three-digit million amount. With direct reference to the director and the chairman of the board, you will be a key resource up to the final delivery. You will have management responsibility for 3-5 construction managers, 3-6 subcontractors and an in-house production with up to 30 hourly-paid staff.

The job as project manager includes many varied tasks, including

  • Responsible for status and follow-up meetings
  • Communication with both internal and external parties
  • Management of safety and the working environment
  • Ongoing and close construction management
  • Financial management in collaboration with the director
  • Handling of post-calculation and evaluation of the overall project
  • Delivery activities on time and with quality as well as follow-up

Your workday will primarily be at the construction site in western Greenland. The client places high demands on documentation, which requires you to be familiar with reporting and management based on a modern IT platform.

Qualifications

You have experience with project management and proven that you successfully manage large civil engineering projects to completion, both in terms of time, cost and quality. In addition you have a ”get-it-done attitude” and can transfer this mindset to the people on site. It is important that you are strong in documentation and can establish a strong project organization with clear roles, responsibilities and decision paths. In addition, it is a requirement that you have a construction technical education.

You have a high work capacity and not least work ethic, and your visible leadership style reflects impact, overview and commitment. You should be a leader who creates direction, takes responsibility and follows up – and at the same time is able to delegate, control and develop your employees.

You work in a structured and systematic way, but can also make decisions and act quickly when the situation requires. Moreover you have a positive approach to task solving, and it is natural for you to lead from the front and ”raise the bar” for the whole team.

You are offered

The company takes good care of its employees and is committed to well-being and development. The culture is characterized by integrity, and there is a sense of pride in delivering constructions of high quality down to the last detail. You will therefore get an exciting and independent job in a solid company that offers you an opportunity to test your skills in the Greenlandic nature. You will also become part of a flat and informal organization in a well-regarded and down-to-earth contracting company.

We strive every day to create a strong corporate culture that, with projects and the customer in focus, delivers the best solutions. You will have a varied daily life in a job with short decision lines, where you are close to management, and where there is individual employee and leadership development so you continue to develop your professional skills.

More concretely, you are offered

  • Salary according to qualifications
  • Pension scheme and health insurance
  • Active staff association with various events
  • Competent colleagues who have a really good esprit de corps

We continuously strive to create an attractive workplace, which is felt in daily collaboration, the balance between private life and work, social events and not least the possibility to take responsibility and make a difference.
