About the job

At SYSTRA Denmark we work with some of the country's most prominent infrastructure projects, and we are now seeking an experienced project manager for larger road and highway projects.

You will become a central part of our project management environment and will be responsible for leading complex projects from early phases through design, tendering and execution. The role is for you who create structure, progress and quality in cross-disciplinary projects and thrive in collaboration with professional public clients, authorities and specialists.

Context

Your role

As project manager you will be responsible for one or more large and complex infrastructure projects in the road and highway area and lead cross-disciplinary teams. You will play a central role in ensuring a strong project organization, clear governance and solid deliveries throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be the central link between client, internal disciplines, sub-consultants and other collaborators, and you must be able to translate complex requirements and interfaces into structure, progress and quality.

Your main responsibilities

You will among other things be responsible for

  • leading larger road and highway projects from design to tender and project follow-up
  • ensuring progress, quality and adherence to time and budget
  • managing contracts, changes, risks and project economy
  • being the primary project-management contact to client and client representative
  • leading and contributing to bid work, including scope, plan, budget and resource estimate
  • developing project management methods, processes and customer relations

Missions/Main Duties

Who are you

We are looking for an experienced project manager with strong project management skills and solid understanding of large infrastructure facilities. You have a relevant academic education, for example as an engineer, and at least 10 years of experience with project management within road or infrastructure projects.

You have documented experience with larger road and highway projects. It is an advantage if you have also worked on projects where traffic is maintained during construction, and where there are many simultaneous considerations of construction logistics, traffic management, authorities, utilities, structures and the environment.

We particularly value that you have experience with

  • management of complex, cross-disciplinary road and infrastructure projects
  • management of economy, contracts, changes and progress
  • collaboration with public clients and professional stakeholders
  • coordination across road, drainage, geotechnics, structures, traffic management and environment
  • preparation of decision basis, project basis and bid or tender
  • quality assurance, audits and systematic project follow-up

As a person you are structured, clear and collaborative. You create calm and overview in complex projects, and you are able to bring the project team together around clear goals, roles and deliveries. You communicate precisely and credibly – both internally and externally – and you are used to working in environments with high demands for documentation, quality and process discipline.

You master Danish and English in writing and speech.
