Make your mark on the Denmark of the future

The rapid development has not gone past the industry’s nose, and therefore we are currently working with some of the most ambitious construction and transformation projects in ABC’s history, including:

• Fælledby and Fælledby School, construction of several building areas in the green, new Copenhagen district
• Bryggervangen, construction of a seven-story, 41,000m2 housing block in timber-hybrid construction on Østerbro
• Gadehavegård, master plan for the area, including renovation of 995 homes distributed over 19 housing blocks
• Hornbæk Badehotel, transformation of a heritage-listed building into a 5-star luxury hotel

Become the unifying force in the design

At ABC we have an autonomous and dedicated Department for Project Management – this is where you will be active daily.

As a design lead, you are the unifying force in the design. You ensure progress, coordination and quality across disciplines and stakeholders, so the projects are delivered on time and in high quality. You work closely with clients, architects, contractors and specialists and are responsible for the cross-disciplinary coordination throughout the entire project lifecycle.

You and your team are involved from the very first pencil stroke until the red carpet is rolled out for the building’s inauguration.

In your daily work you will, among other things

• Lead and coordinate the design on complex new-build and transformation projects in accordance with YBL18
• Ensure good and effective communication with clients and other internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary between the construction's various disciplines, including clients, architects, contractors and authorities
• Ensure progress, quality and coherence across disciplines and schedules
• Identify and manage interfaces, risks and challenges throughout the design process
• Contribute to bid work, contracting and coordination of sub-consultants as needed

About you

It comes naturally to you to build relationships. You can communicate with anyone, whether engineers, clients, contractors or architects, and you thrive in the role of a bridge between many different stakeholders.

You thrive in a day-to-day with many interfaces and tasks and manage to keep an overview, even when the pace is high. It is the structured approach to work that ensures you never miss deadlines and always know how far you are in a given project.

In addition to your personal traits, we would like you to

• Have a degree as engineer, architect, builder, etc., with extensive interdisciplinary knowledge of the construction industry and preferably a strong pre-existing network
• Have at least 4 years' experience with design management, cross-disciplinary coordination or management of complex construction projects
• Have good collaboration skills and be able to coordinate and lead cross-disciplinary teams with different specialists, ensuring effective cooperation and coherence in the project
• Can drive projects forward in a way that creates momentum and ensures adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Have in-depth knowledge of the design lead's responsibilities and tasks in accordance with YBL18
