Project Manager for technical customer projects in the wind industry

European Merchandise Group A/S – EMG – is seeking a project manager who will be responsible for driving technical customer projects safely from customer request to final solution.

From customer request to final solution

When EMG’s sales department has identified a concrete customer need, the project is handed over to you. From here you will be responsible for driving the process towards the final solution in close collaboration with the customer and your colleagues at EMG.

You work closely with EMG’s technical designers, who are responsible for the technical design and drawing of the products, but you are actively involved in the process. You participate, among other things, in testing new solutions and are responsible for ensuring that the necessary technical documentation is collected and completed.

Your tasks will include

• drive 10-20 simultaneous customer and development projects
• ensure progress from handover from sales to final solution
• coordinate with customers, sales, the technical designer, production and other colleagues
• actively follow up on missing information, drawings and documentation
• participate in testing and approval of new products
• collect and structure the technical documentation
• contribute to the calculation and pricing of the projects together with colleagues.

This is a very operational project management role. You must therefore thrive being close to the tasks yourself rather than solely coordinating them from the sidelines.

You create the momentum yourself

For EMG, your personality is at least as important as your formal educational background.

You are the type who notices if a project is stalling – and does something about it. If you are missing information from a customer, you don’t just send an email and wait. You follow up or pick up the phone and clarify what is needed to move forward.

Therefore we envision that you are structured and persistent, with a natural ability to create an overview of many simultaneous tasks. You can prioritize, work independently, and are comfortable being the one who takes ownership to ensure things are completed.

At the same time you work in a small organization where the path from idea to decision is short. It requires flexibility and a willingness to help where it makes sense.

Experience from the wind industry is important

Your specific education is not decisive. You may have built your technical understanding through a technical education, through practical experience or through previous positions in the wind industry.

The important thing is that you know the wind industry and have a basic technical understanding that enables you to communicate with both customers and technical colleagues. You may come from a role in project management, technical coordination, service, engineering, sales or another function in the wind industry where you have worked with technical products and customer tasks. The key is that you have industry understanding, technical interest and the personality to take responsibility for the projects.

Since EMG’s customers are located all over the world, you must be able to communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing.
