Do you want to work with project management within Water and Climate? In the Water & Climate department we are looking for project managers who want to work with a wide range of tasks, including climate projects and rainwater management.

Climate change presents some of the most complex and crucial challenges of our time for society. More intense rainfall, rising groundwater and longer heat periods strain our existing infrastructure and require new solutions that both protect people, buildings and nature – and at the same time create value for future generations.

In the Water & Climate department we work across disciplines to develop and implement holistic solutions. We design rainwater and wastewater systems, protect urban areas from cloudbursts and design LAR solutions that handle water while considering city life, biodiversity and aesthetics.

We solve tasks nationwide for municipalities, utilities and development companies. Through integrated advisory services we work multidisciplinary with our colleagues in infrastructure, construction and architecture. We advise throughout the process from planning and design to supervision and construction management, and offer the right competences and expertises for any project – all to create more value for our customers.

As a Project Manager in Water & Climate you will help solve assignments across the country for municipalities, utilities and development companies, which sets high demands on our competencies and knowledge.

Your responsibilities

As a project manager at Sweco you will have an extensive area of responsibility, covering everything from planning and organizing projects to ensuring customer satisfaction and financial accountability, as well as identifying and managing risks. A sharp overview and a deep understanding of customers’ needs are crucial for the success of our projects.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead and coordinate projects within the water and climate area with solid technical insight and practical application.
  • Ensure optimal project management, including detailed planning, efficient resource allocation and accurate reporting.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, and clearly communicate decisions to the project team, the customer and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain close dialogue with the customer to contribute to the negotiation and closing of customer agreements.
  • Strengthen business development by implementing sales strategies and building strong customer relationships through the projects.

Your role as project manager is central to driving projects forward and ensuring that we meet our customers’ expectations and Sweco’s standards.

About you

You have sharp communication and collaboration skills, which you know how to bring to bear with customers, colleagues and stakeholders. Your leadership style and language are inclusive and relationship-oriented. You also thrive in an environment with high pace and many changing tasks, but where there is always time to make thoughtful and quality-oriented decisions.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant education with a solid technical background.
  • Have solid work experience, including a minimum of three years in real project management.
  • Have relevant professional experience within water and climate, so you have a good understanding of the projects, their different phases and can spot possible challenges before they arise.

We are looking for a project manager who can drive projects forward with precision, meet our customers’ needs, and ensure Sweco’s high standards throughout the process.

” Water & Climate is in constant progress and guarantees exciting and varied tasks for utilities, municipalities, private developers and cross-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues in other disciplines. Here there is ample opportunity for both personal growth and the chance to influence the department academically and socially. So come and join a strong environment” – Head of Department, Water & Climate, Rani Shaba
