You will have a central role in administering the strategic health innovation fund, in collaboration with the other Danish regions and national partners, and in the ongoing profiling of the regional innovation effort.

Details about the task

Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, you will handle administrative and coordinating tasks and support progress in Innovationsklinikken's cross-cutting initiatives. You will work closely with colleagues, management, clinical environments and external partners.

The position has a focus on project coordination, pool administration, executive support and follow-up . You will create an overview, prepare cases and ensure that decisions and agreements are followed up. You will also contribute to defined development tasks based on the priorities established for the innovation effort.

A continuous focus will be to support the work with the klinik-related innovation through coordination of activities, collaborations and organizational anchoring.

In collaboration with colleagues, your tasks will include among others to

You will coordinate the application process, prepare cases for consideration and manage ongoing contact with applicants and grant recipients. The task also includes an overview of grants and follow-up on project progress and reporting in collaboration with relevant professional and administrative functions.
  • Support dialogue with and handle inquiries from public national and regional partners. You will support joint initiatives, experience sharing and collaborations on developing the innovation effort. This includes, among other things, preparing meetings, coordinating North Jutland contributions and following up on agreements based on regional needs and priorities.
  • Support collaboration with for example Healthcare Denmark and Danish Life Science Cluster, among others. You will handle ongoing coordination, prepare dialogues and follow up on joint activities.
  • Support the profiling of the North Jutland innovation effort. You will collect and qualify knowledge about North Jutland's strengths, initiatives and results for use in internal professional presentations for staff and external profiling in national and international fora. The work should contribute to bringing North Jutland's experiences and competencies into play with a focus on innovation as the fourth pillar.

About you

You have a relevant social science master's degree, for example in political science, public administration, communications or similar.

You thrive in an academic generalist role, where you combine administrative tasks with project coordination and executive support. You work systematically, have an eye for detail and can simultaneously maintain an overview of several parallel processes.

We are looking for a colleague with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, who has:

  • Strong written and spoken skills in Danish and English.

Experience with pool administration, grant management or administration of development projects is an advantage. The same applies to knowledge of the Danish health system and collaboration between regions, knowledge institutions and industry.

About Innovations Clinic

As an employee at Innovationsklinikken you become part of an exciting and developing team with many and varied tasks in a dynamic, cross-disciplinary environment. You will join a team with a skilled and ambitious group of colleagues who want to be at the forefront of development and scaling of tomorrow’s health solutions for the benefit of patients, citizens and staff.

Since 2009, Innovationsklinikken has supported researcher- and staff-driven innovation at the hospitals in the North Denmark Region to translate inventions and good ideas into new health solutions that benefit patient care and clinical work.

Innovationsklinikken is also the region's TechTrans unit responsible for handling the region's invention and patent portfolio in accordance with the researcher patent act. Therefore the unit works closely with Aalborg University and other TechTrans units in Denmark.

Innovationsklinikken handles a broad portfolio of health inventions and receives about 50 new idea submissions annually. The ideas are usually in an early stage, and therefore the innovation process for health inventions is a long maturation process, where ideas are clarified, developed, tested and documented to ultimately be brought into clinical use as new health solutions. Because of the early stage, a large part of Innovationsklinikken's work is to help secure external funding to develop and mature the ideas and establish collaborations with relevant actors.

Innovationsklinikken has, through its work, built considerable experience with commercializing health innovation and works to build a culture where innovation is integrated into daily clinical life, and a framework where employees' ideas can be realized.
