Project Manager with an interest in strategic development

Are you interested in planning, program- and project management as well as development, and would you like to work closely with the political processes that set the direction for Bornholm's development?

In the Center for Environment, Planning and Culture in Bornholm's Regional Municipality we are looking for a project manager for cross-cutting tasks with links to, among others, the planning area.

As a project manager you will drive larger and smaller cross-cutting projects and programs that cut across disciplines and organizational levels. The tasks will vary and may change in line with the organization’s needs and priorities.

You will play an important role in organizing and driving processes, creating structure and overview, and ensuring coordination, progress and follow-up in close collaboration with relevant professionals and management. Tasks can example arise from strategic and political initiatives, development needs across the organization or concrete subject areas – including the planning area and work with § 17, subsection 4 committees.

We would like you to have knowledge of the planning area and an interest in strategic development. The most important is, however, that you have strong project management competencies and can create structure and drive processes forward.

Your tasks

As a project manager you will be responsible for creating an overview and coherence in the projects and processes you drive. Your tasks will include, among others, to:

• plan, drive and follow up on project and process trajectories
• drive and support cross-cutting projects, programs and development processes
• create an overview of activities, timelines and deliverables
• coordinate across relevant disciplines
• plan and facilitate meetings, workshops and other processes
• prepare briefs and materials for management and political fora
• ensure ongoing progress and that decisions and agreements are followed through and deadlines met

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education and experience with project management, process management, program management or coordination of complex tasks.

The most important is that you have strong project management skills and thrive in driving cross-cutting projects and processes where different professions, interests and organizational levels must work together.

We place particular emphasis on the following

• experience with project management and preferably program management
• work in a structured way and can create overview in complex tasks
• strategic and analytical and can translate overarching goals into concrete actions
• can drive processes forward and maintain focus on progress and deadlines
• have good collaboration skills and can build relationships across disciplines and organizational levels
• communicate clearly and confidently both orally and in writing.
• If you have knowledge of administrative law and municipal political processes, it is an advantage

Knowledge of municipal authority areas, including for example the planning area, is an advantage but not a requirement.

You also work independently and in a structured manner, are good at building relationships and can drive a process forward with a view to both the whole and the different perspectives and interests that must be balanced along the way. You communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Knowledge of project management tools such as Monday.com (or similar) is an advantage but not a requirement.

Furthermore, experience from a politically led organization is an advantage but not a requirement.

We offer

You will get a project manager position close to both the professional and political development on Bornholm and the opportunity to play a central role in cross-cutting processes in the planning area.

You will work closely with the other cross-cutting project managers. Although you each drive your own projects, you will have the opportunity for ongoing sparring and sharing experiences about project management.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and according to the principles of local wage formation.

A driving license for category B - standard car is required.

The position is 37 hours per week.
