Project Manager – with flair for project planning/design

Experienced project manager who wants to be master of his own projects, and can create structure in projects and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

At Torkil Laursen we are looking for an experienced project manager who thrives with responsibility, has control of the details and is motivated to lead projects safely from idea to finished result. You will be responsible for your own projects and become the central driving force throughout the process.

The role involves not only project management and coordination but also independent project planning of your own cases, where you translate technical solutions into concrete project materials and ensure that quality, economy and progress go hand in hand.

If you have solid experience in design and a natural ability to coordinate people, processes and technical solutions, you will have the opportunity to drive your projects from the first registrations and authority clarifications to tender, execution and handover.

Your tasks

As a project manager at Torkil Laursen you are expected to independently be able to design and develop your own projects. You will have the professional responsibility for the design process and at the same time act as project manager with responsibility for coordination, quality, economy and progress.

Your tasks will therefore include among other things

• Independent design of renovation, conversion and new-build projects.
• Preparation of authority projects and application materials.
• Preparation of drawings, descriptions and technical documentation for own projects.
• Preparation of tender material and coordination of the project basis.
• Registration and assessment of existing buildings and structures.
• Planning and coordination of preliminary investigations, including environmental and specialist investigations.
• Ongoing dialogue with the client, contractors, authorities and other consultants.
• Construction management of projects from start to finish.
• Holding construction meetings.
• Professional supervision and follow-up on executing works.
• Responsible for project economics and progress through the execution phase
• Quality assurance of projects and processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Sparring with colleagues and contribution to the department's professional development.
• Further dissemination and coordination of drawing tasks with our technical designers.

About you

You have a relevant construction-related background such as

• Structural engineer
• Building designer
• Architect

As well as a minimum of 5 years' experience from a consulting engineering company, an architectural firm or similar.

In addition you have

• Minimum 5 years' experience with design and project management within building or renovation projects.
• Experience in independently driving and designing your own cases/projects.
• Extensive knowledge of BR18, AB/ABT18, YBL, Eurocodes, SBI instructions and applicable building regulations.
• Experience in preparing authority projects and tender material.
• Familiar with both renovation and new construction.
• A good understanding of building physics and construction solutions.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own projects.
• Good communication skills in Danish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have practical experience from the construction industry or a strong understanding of the execution phase and craft solutions.
