Project Manager with HVAC background for Dansk Energi Management

Then you could be the next project manager we are looking for at Dansk Energi Management (DEM).

About DEM

Dansk Energi Management advises public and private clients on, among other things, technical installations, energy efficiency, indoor climate and sustainable solutions. Since 2024, DEM has been part of Spangenberg & Madsen Rådgivende Ingeniører. Together we combine strong competencies within energy and sustainability with specialized technical consulting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, fire protection, building automation and client advisory.

That gives you as a project manager access to a broad team of specialists and projects where different disciplines must be brought together into one well-functioning solution.

Your role

As a project manager you will be responsible for driving projects from the initial phases to design, tender, execution and delivery. Your HVAC background enables you to understand the technology and challenge the solutions, but your most important task will be to create overview and get the project’s people, deliveries and decisions to hang together.

You also thrive in being the important contact person for the client and to have the opportunity to build long-term relationships.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• lead your own HVAC- and multi-disciplinary projects
• ensure progress, finances, quality and resources
• coordinate the project team and other disciplines
• ensure clear agreements, responsibilities and deliverables
• handle customer dialogue and expectation alignment
• contribute to bids, fee assessment and the basis of agreements
• follow the projects through design, tender and execution
• support quality assurance, regulatory matters and delivery
• contribute to the development of our project management and collaboration methods.

Who are you?

You have a technical background within HVAC/Plumbing and experience in driving projects in the construction or consulting industry.

Your educational path may vary. You could, for example, be an engineer, a mechanical engineer, a plumbing installer or have another relevant technical or craft background.

We also very much value practical experience as a tradesperson or otherwise from the execution side of construction. In your role with us it will give you valuable understanding of how technical solutions work in practice – and what it takes to implement them on the construction site.

We also imagine that you

• have experience with project management and preferably advisory engineering services
• understand the technical relationships in HVAC and installation projects
• can manage time, finances, quality and resources
• have an understanding of contract and agreement terms in construction
• communicate clearly and can create buy-in around decisions
• thrive in dialogue with clients, architects, contractors and specialists
• work in a structured manner without making project management more complicated than necessary.

Knowledge of, for example, BIM/ICT, commissioning and ABR18/AB18 is an advantage.
