Project Manager for design and maintenance of the electricity grid - Frederikshavn Forsyning

Would you like to work on projects that secure the electricity supply of the future? Frederikshavn Forsyning is seeking a project manager with a solid electrical engineering background who will help develop, maintain and future‑proof the local electricity grid. You will become part of a department with skilled and experienced colleagues, where a number of exciting projects lie ahead in the coming years. You will have the opportunity to work with both technical solutions, design and project management – and at the same time help ensure a stable and reliable electricity supply.

Your role As a project manager you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and following projects from the initial descriptions to the finished solution. The tasks range from network connections and reinvestments to development and maintenance of existing facilities.

A large part of the job revolves around project management, documentation and coordination with consultants, suppliers and authorities. You must therefore enjoy creating structure, maintaining an overview and ensuring progress in the projects.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Design and project management of tasks on the electrical network
• Planning and execution of reinvestments and network connections
• Preparation of project descriptions, documentation and authority materials
• Procurement and coordination with external consultants and suppliers
• Follow-up on economy, schedules, quality and safety
• Participation in technical assessments, network calculations and commissioning

You will become part of a shift system, which is remunerated separately. The shifts rotate among colleagues and typically one week every four to five weeks.

Who are you? You have an electrical engineering education such as an electrical installer, high-voltage technician, electrical engineer, marine engineer or equivalent.

You have a good technical understanding and interest in electricity supply, but you do not need to have worked in the industry before. The most important thing is that you have a solid professional foundation, work systematically and are keen to dive into the technical and administrative tasks that come with the projects.

• Have experience with technical projects, design or project management
• Work in a structured way and can manage tasks according to budgets and schedules
• Thrive with both technical problems and documentation
• Are good at collaborating and communicating with different professional groups
• Focus on quality, safety and solutions that work in practice
• Have a driver's license for a passenger car

Experience with high voltage, electrical networks or relay protection will be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

You must be able to obtain security clearance and be able to present a criminal record.
