Project Manager / Project Director sought for injection work in concrete repair and injection

About us Christiansen & Essenbæk A/S is a Danish main contractor, which since its founding in 1971 has developed into one of the leading companies within concrete renovation, concrete maintenance and injection – just as we have extensive expertise in traffic management, demolition & environmental cleanup, soil and sewer, foundation and civil works as well as surface treatment.

We undertake any task within commercial, residential, public construction, urban renewal, operation and maintenance of buildings as well as civil, service and environmental works throughout Denmark and the Nordic countries.

Christiansen & Essenbæk is an independent joint stock company with expected revenue of about DKK 500 million for the current year. The company today employs 260 hourly-paid employees and a staff of 100 white-collar workers.

About the job We are seeking a project manager/ project director for the Jutland injection department. Our total injection division consists of about 90 employees in total, where the Jutland department, which is in strong development, currently consists of 8 employees. Here you will start as a project manager/ project director with responsibility for the Jutland injection team, and in time the position will be expandable with further exciting leadership challenges.

You will be attached to Christiansen & Essenbæk’s office in Hedensted, but with current stock in Aalborg and activity in the Aarhus area, you can expect travel – primarily in Jutland but occasionally also elsewhere in the country if support is needed on additional projects. You report to the head of the injection department and work in close and constructive cooperation with your colleagues across the country.

You will become part of a professionally strong organization where collaboration and quality are in focus. You will be responsible for the daily management of the injections section in Jutland, and together with the head of department you will further develop and strengthen the company’s competences and professional expertise in the field. You plan and lead projects and work closely with customers and partners throughout the entire project lifecycle – from tender and site visits to delivery.

Your main areas of responsibility will be to

• Plan and lead projects, possibly in collaboration with foremen
• Work in a structured way with budgets and deliver regular financial reporting
• Ensure timely and complete invoicing as well as proper handling of supplier invoices
• Maintain close dialogue with customers – before, during and after projects – so they have a good experience all the way through
• Ensure that all tasks on the construction site are clearly communicated, coordinated and performed with the right quality
• Contribute to recruitment, development and well-being among employees in the section
• Contribute to ongoing development and improvement of internal processes
• Prepare offers and conduct site visits according to applicable procedures
• Take responsibility for a good working environment and comply with applicable rules and guidelines
• Carry out necessary procurement and ensure materials are ordered in good time
• Maintain polite, professional and timely communication with partners
• Ensure correct documentation, time sheets and updates in calendar and systems
• Actively contribute to updating sales and presentation material
• Participate in relevant courses and continuing education.

About you We expect you to possess the following professional and personal qualities

• You have experience as a project director, project manager, construction manager, contract manager and/or foreman, possibly from injection tasks or other concrete renovation tasks
• You have a construction technical background – e.g. as a building designer, engineer or a craft background, preferably as a mason or structural worker. Other relevant background can also be used
• You are familiar with concrete renovation products such as epoxy and polyurethane
• You have an interest in (but not necessarily experience with) injection
• You preferably have experience with budgets, calculations and using Excel
• You are structured and responsible and work methodically to follow up tasks to completion
• You thrive on travel across especially Jutland and with close presence on construction sites
• You are visible, engaged and proactive in your approach to both tasks and people
• You contribute to a close and constructive collaboration with colleagues, customers and partners
• You display modern and trusting leadership and contribute with a solution-oriented mindset
• You communicate clearly and create a good, positive atmosphere around you.
