Public health nurse sought for Family Compass in Public Health Nursing, Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality

As our experienced public health nurse in Familiekompasset has chosen to retire, we are seeking a public health nurse working 32-37 hours per week with start date January 1, 2027.

The health visiting service in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality has the past years focused on developing early health-promoting and preventative initiatives. We offer, among other things, pregnancy visits to all pregnant women and follow infants until they reach 1½ years old.

In Familiekompasset we offer group programs for mothers and fathers with postpartum depression, trauma conversations after traumatic births, and group sessions in the Circle of Security for all families with children aged 0-2 years.

Familiekompasset also conducts COS-C training programs for staff in the municipality's day care for children aged 0-3 years, so that parents experience a link between the training and the day care's approach to the children.

Familiekompassets closest collaborators include, among others, health visitors, social workers, family therapists and general practitioners.

Familiekompasset is based in MDvuns-huset in Vester Hæsinge, a prevention house aimed at children and parents in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality.

The health visiting service consists of 16 health visitors, 2 physiotherapists, 3 occupational therapists, 1 house assistant, 2 psychologists, 1 secretary and 1 professional leader.

We expect that you

• Are educated as a health visitor.
• Have a strong desire for the therapeutic work to occupy a large part of your work week and the knowledge that therapeutic skills are something you never stop refining.
• Have experience with or willingness to work with treatment of postpartum depression at group level
• Have knowledge of or interest in learning about Compassion Focused Therapy
• Have experience with or willingness to teach groups of parents in the Circle of Security (COS-P)
• Are willing to participate in a preventative effort in close collaboration with two psychologists in Familiekompasset.
• Contribute to a good working environment.
• Desire to participate in and contribute to the development of a preventative effort that is organizationally placed as part of the health visiting service.
• Can work independently as well as in close collaboration with the team.
• Have resilience that can accommodate that your daily life is filled with conversations with parents who are struggling.
