Do you want to help set the direction for quality and testing in digital products used by readers across Europe?

At Visiolink we develop digital solutions for some of Europe’s leading media houses. We enable newspapers and magazines to publish their content digitally through native apps and web solutions – and every day we work to create stable, user-friendly and attractive digital reading experiences.

We are now seeking an experienced QA Specialist who will help lift and further develop our work with quality, testing and test automation.

This is a role for someone who is passionate about the professional QA craft and wants to help set the direction for how we work with quality across Visiolink.

A central role in our QA work

As a QA Specialist you will be an important part of our work to strengthen quality in both our product development and customer projects.

You will work hands-on with testing, while also having the opportunity to influence our methods, processes, tools and standards. We are in the process of further developing our QA strategy and are looking for an experienced profile who can help translate ambitions into practice.

You will be a professional sparring partner for our developers and project managers and will also have direct contact with customers when relevant.

It means that you must be able to go in-depth with a concrete defect or test case and at the same time keep an overview and look at how we can improve quality as an organization.

Your primary areas of responsibility

• Define, implement and continuously improve best practices for QA and software testing across Visiolink.
• Contribute to our further development of QA strategy, test methods, processes and standards.
• Plan and execute testing of both native iOS- and Android apps as well as web solutions.
• Identify quality risks early and ensure that testing is considered throughout the development and delivery process.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test plans and other relevant test documentation.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of automated testing.
• Analyze defects, deviations and quality issues and translate them into concrete improvements.
• Be a professional sparring partner for developers and project managers in relation to testing and quality.
• Participate in relevant customer meetings and provide a clear QA and quality perspective.
• Help create a shared understanding of what good quality is – and why QA is an important part of our overall delivery.
• Actively contribute to the team’s and department’s KPIs and objectives.

We are looking for an experienced QA profile

We are looking for a person with solid practical experience with software testing and quality assurance , who wants to take on greater professional responsibility.

You have several years of experience with QA and software testing and have worked with different testing methods and approaches. You do not need to be an expert in all areas, but you should have a strong professional foundation, be able to work independently and want to develop both yourself and our way of working with quality.

We imagine that you

• Have several years of experience with software testing, QA or quality assurance.
• Have a strong understanding of testing methodology and can choose the right testing approach depending on the situation.
• Work in a structured and analytical way and have an eye for both detail and the whole.
• Have experience with preparing test cases, test plans and test documentation.
• Have experience with agile development environments and preferably Scrum.
• Have interest in or experience with test automation.
• Can analyze complex problems and translate them into concrete and usable solutions.
• Communicate clearly and can collaborate with both developers, project managers, customers and other non-technical stakeholders.
• Are willing to challenge existing ways of working and help establish better standards.
• Take responsibility and see assignments through to completion.

It is advantageous if you have experience testing mobile apps, web-based solutions or other digital products.
