Are you considering a job change, or are you entering your first job as a pedagogue? We are seeking a pedagogue for Krummestuen in Børnehuset Højstensgård. A colleague who loves toddler life and wants to create a good everyday life for the youngest together with us.

With us you will have space to make your mark on the pedagogical practice, colleagues to brainstorm with, and time set aside for preparation and documentation. And you will spend your days in a beautifully renovated farmstead with beautiful and idyllic surroundings, green playgrounds and Brøndby Forest right next to it.

About us

Højstensgård is a small preschool with both a nursery and a kindergarten, 2 rooms in each department. We live in a renovated three-wing farmhouse with two green playgrounds and a campfire area, which we use year-round. We are outdoors almost every day and often use the nature around us for small trips and shared discoveries.

In Krummestuen there is room for 12 children and three fixed adults, of which two are pedagogues. You will become the regular room pedagogue and one of the two pedagogues.

We believe that children do the best they can with the competencies they have. It is our responsibility to create the framework where they can thrive, play and develop. Therefore we are focused on presence, good relationships and recognizable routines – and on changing what we do when the children show us that something different is needed.

We have a common professional direction, but there is room for different ideas and ways of working. You don’t need to have all the answers. We would like a colleague who wants to think along, try things out and learn together with us.

Who are you?

You are a trained pedagogue – with or without experience – and you want to work with the youngest children. With us there is room to follow the children’s curiosity, join the play on the floor and explore nature together. We see play, meals and daily routines as valuable moments with the children.

You are curious about your own and your colleagues’ practice and want a close and trusting collaboration with parents. We meet the parents as equal partners and address both joys and concerns with respect and care.

You may have experience with observation, documentation and Hjernen og Hjertet. If you don’t know our tools and workflows, we will help you learn them.

And you can certainly bring a lot of other things as well, which we look forward to hearing about.

What we offer

You get a warm welcome and an introductory program, so you can get to know the children, the colleagues and the house.

We have set aside time for preparation and documentation and regular classroom meetings every other week. You will receive professional sparring both on the room and across the house, ample opportunities for competence development through courses and meetings outside the house, and room to translate your ideas into practice together with your colleagues.

We help each other with what makes everyday life work – both the pedagogical and the practical tasks. With us there is room to ask questions, be in doubt and see things differently. We share what works and appreciate a good laugh along the way.

Employment and working hours

The position is as a rule 37 hours per week. If you want a different number of hours, let us know. We would also like to hear your preferences for meeting times and explore what is feasible.

The house is open Monday to Thursday from 6.45–17.00 and Friday from 6.45–16.30. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.

You will be employed according to the agreement for pedagogues at day-care institutions, school leisure programs, clubs, etc., between KL and BUPL, where your salary is fixed according to the agreement’s basic salary steps and in addition – if relevant to the position and your experience and competencies – functional pay, qualification pay and allowances in accordance with the pre-agreement in Brøndby Municipality

The position is as a rule full-time at 37 hours per week, but there may be an opportunity to agree on something else if you wish.
