Quality Technician – be part of ensuring quality from the first component

To be a Quality Technician at Gram Equipment A/S is for you who thrive on being the "Gate-keeper", - and through inspection and measurement you help ensure that we do not bring faulty items into production. You have technical understanding, work systematically and can contribute to translating quality problems into practical solutions and improvements.

Become part of the Quality community

You will become part of the global Quality function, which works from Kolding and Izmir, Turkey. The function continuously works on developing and maintaining our quality processes and certifications, learning from mistakes and strengthening the quality culture throughout the organization. In addition, the function works with supplier auditing and evaluation. You will be based in Kolding and work closely with colleagues in Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse and Production.

On a daily basis you will be in close dialogue with our Quality Control Team Lead regarding prioritization of tasks and follow-up on both daily operations and improvements.

During a workday you will work with the following

Inspection and measurement

You perform quality control, tests and measurement of incoming goods.

Deviations and supplier complaints

If you find deviations, you assess in collaboration with your colleagues in Production and Engineering whether the deviation can be dispensed with, or whether a supplier complaint needs to be raised.

You raise supplier complaints in Business Central, and collaborate with Purchasing and the suppliers to get the cases handled efficiently.

Return goods and remediation of defects

You perform quality checks on return goods from production and assess in collaboration with your colleagues whether defects on parts can be remedied internally, or whether a supplier complaint should be raised.

Technical documentation and collaboration

You contribute to assessing the need to update technical drawings and will continuously be in dialogue with our engineers/designers.

Quality Technician with technical understanding and overview

You thrive in a practical everyday life where you work both independently and have a broad network. You are systematic, follow your tasks through, and can prioritize when several things demand your attention.

You work in a solution-oriented way and can both handle an current quality issue and contribute to ensuring similar defects are prevented in the future.

In addition, we place emphasis on

• You have a crafts background from the mechanical engineering field, preferably as a machine operator or locksmith
• You have good technical understanding and can read technical drawings
• You have experience with quality control, measurement or similar tasks
• You are familiar with IT and have experience with ERP systems (familiarity with Business Central is an advantage)
• You have stacker/truck certificate so you can move items yourself
• You work structured, independently and solution-oriented
• You collaborate well with colleagues across the company
• You communicate in English in writing and speech

Gram Equipment A/S is an international project company with headquarters in Kolding and activities in e.g. Turkey, Italy, USA and China. We design, manufacture and service production machines and lines for the ice cream industry.

The position is paid hourly. We offer pay according to the Industrial Agreement and applicable local agreements, health insurance, and opportunities for relevant courses and competence development.
