Embedded UI Developer

Do you want to help develop the user experiences of the future for Nilfisk’s next generation of products?

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Embedded UI Developer to join our HW/SW team in our technology department, where we develop embedded hardware and software solutions for our entire global product portfolio.

We are seeking a candidate for a full-time position with the workplace at Industrivej 1, Hadsund. You will report to the Head of HW and SW Systems, Thomas Kjeldsen.

Primary responsibilities

You will be involved in all phases of development, from requirements specification and concept development to implementation, testing and final verification of user interfaces on our products.

Your main tasks will consist of

· Development and maintenance of embedded user interfaces for Nilfisk’s professional cleaning machines.

· Design and implementation of modern, intuitive and responsive UI solutions based on TouchGFX.

· Development of embedded software in C++ with a focus on high quality, performance and maintainability.

· Close collaboration with product owners, UX designers and embedded software developers to translate user requirements into finished solutions.

· Implementation of UI designs and mockups from Figma into finished products.

· Preparation of technical documentation and maintenance of design and development descriptions.

· Participation in code reviews, software tests and debugging on both hardware and software platforms.

· Work in Agile development projects with Jira and Confluence as central tools.

· Contribute to architecture, design principles and best practices for future UI platforms.

Your new team

You will become part of an HW/SW team of 18 employees, where we work closely together in smaller project teams and deliver embedded hardware and software solutions to all Nilfisk’s global R&D sites. Therefore, travel days may occur.

Your profile

Ideally you have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role as Embedded UI Developer, Embedded Software Engineer or equivalent.

We expect that you

· Have strong skills in modern C++ development.

· Have practical experience with the development of graphical user interfaces on embedded platforms.

· Have experience with TouchGFX and STM32-based solutions or similar embedded UI frameworks.

· Have experience with integration between UI applications and underlying embedded software.

· Have knowledge of Figma and collaboration on UX/UI design.

· Have experience with Jira and Confluence in a professional development organization.

· Have experience with version control, such as Bitbucket.

· Hold a diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree in software, electronics, embedded systems or similar.

You write and speak fluent Danish and English and enjoy participating in technical discussions in both languages.

As a person you are structured and quality-conscious. You work analytically and systematically and focus on both user experience and technical quality. You thrive in interdisciplinary teams and are happy to share your knowledge with your colleagues.
