Would you like to help create a good childhood, where play, presence and strong communities are at the center? And would you like to develop pedagogical practice together with engaged colleagues? Then you may be our new pedagogue at Børnehuset Arken.

About us Børnehuset Arken is located in Jyllinge and comprises two baby groups and three kindergarten groups. In the kindergarten you will become part of a team of 9-10 colleagues who together create safe, playful and developmentally rich learning environments for the children.

We are within walking distance of many of Jyllinge's fantastic natural areas and actively use the local environment. Here the children can explore, use their bodies and senses, and experience nature's seasonal changes throughout the year.

At Arken we are focused on ensuring that every child experiences themselves as valuable participants in the community. This requires presence-bearing adults who are curious about the children's perspectives, follow their initiatives and help them find their way into play and relationships. We create space for both big gestures, immersion and the quiet moments.

Professionally we work among other things with our participation in All children's day care , with action learning as a method to explore and develop our practice and with play atmospheres. We are a kindergarten house in development – and we love it.

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement. In connection with the appointment, Roskilde Municipality will obtain criminal and child certificates as well as references.

Time for the core task High professional and pedagogical quality are essential to succeed with the political ambition to create strong communities for all children and young people, and this requires time and space for immersion, reflection and collaboration for the pedagogical staff. In Roskilde Municipality it is politically prioritized that all houses are allocated preparation time.

The preparation time should enable staff to work more systematically with the core task and at the same time create better conditions for professional development, well-being, job satisfaction and strong communities – without compromising children’s time and staffing levels.
