About the job Sigrid Undset Skolen is a specialized §20 stk. 2 school- and SFO- provision for students with general learning difficulties from kindergarten class to and including 10th grade. This school year the student count is currently 115.

Common to all staff and subject groups at Sigrid Undset is commitment and interest in children with special needs, their wellbeing and development.

Our theoretical basis for working with the students' personal and social development is grounded in systemic theory and neuroaffective developmental psychology.

Our goal is to increase all students' life skills as much as possible, to enable a as high-quality and independent life as possible during and after completed schooling.

Your profile Our expectations for you as a prospective colleague are

• you are an engaged person and have an exploratory approach to your surroundings and especially our student group
• you have inner calm that students can lean into
• you have the courage to work with students with multiple functional impairments
• you know professionally when and how to act communicatively and relationally, as we have a high degree of complexity and diversity in daily tasks
• you are focused on development and learning - especially the students' - but also your own
• you must collaborate with all disciplines and understand the synergy of difference, but the importance of having common goals
• you must be able to work purposefully, structured and articulate in writing regarding student plans and status descriptions
• you are in a large and a small work community and can contribute to both with positivity, ideas and responsiveness to tasks
• perhaps you are competent in pedagogical IT guidance and music

Salary and terms of employment According to the pre-agreement in Kalundborg Municipality, newly graduated are favored with locally agreed improvement of starting salary.

After the applicable collective agreement with BUPL, a area-specific special education allowance is given.

Your working hours will primarily be distributed between 6:30 and 16:00 on weekdays.

• Special Institution Lærkereden with currently 15 children
• Respite Institution Kildebo with 10 overnight places
• Adult Special School with both "Youth Education for Young People with Special Needs" and a course department for adults with disabilities.
