Resident Doctor in Hematology, Aarhus University Hospital

Would you like to be part of a dynamic and exciting department where you will learn hematology and see both infectious medicine and internal medicine in general, then this might be just the position we are looking for.

We are seeking a physician for a 12-month unfunded resident physician position in Hematology at Aarhus University Hospital, Palle Juul-Jensens Boulevard. The position is available from December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Who are we

Hematology provides both highly specialized hematologic treatment and basic hematology. We handle diagnostic workups, diagnostics and treatment of, among others, patients with lymph node cancer, myelomatosis, acute and chronic leukemias, as well as allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. The department has a total of 45 beds distributed across two wards, four clinics, its own laboratory and a diagnostic unit. We are 15 junior doctors and 31 specialists. The department has an active research unit and a strong research environment.

Your tasks

You will be placed in the on-call team, which operates on an 8-shift schedule. Here you will be on day shifts for on-call, have evening and night shifts, work in the department's diagnostic unit, and have the possibility to make rounds and be in the department's clinics. The on-call shift runs from 23:00 to 08:00 as part of a on-call group with GI and liver diseases. You will join the department’s I-physician colleagues to form the Acute Department’s 21-shift on-call team for I-physicians.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory police certificate and satisfactory authorization.
