When a major fire, water or other damage affects a business or property, the extent can be considerable. Here it’s about reacting quickly, working in a structured way and – not least – taking the task on as a team.

As a plumber (sanitør) within commercial and large-scale damage at Ocab, you will be part of a team that handles some of our larger and more extensive damage cases.

The tasks can vary greatly in both size and nature. Some days you work with a few colleagues, while other cases require a larger joint effort across disciplines and functions.

You must therefore thrive in a daily life where the task cannot always be predicted in advance, and where good cooperation is an important part of getting safely and efficiently to the finish.

About the job

As a plumber (sanitør) you will be part of the practical effort on our commercial and large-scale damage cases. The work can be physically demanding, and the tasks can take place indoors, outdoors and at height.

You will work closely with your colleagues, project managers and other trades. We expect you to take responsibility for your part of the task, have an eye for quality and contribute to ensuring that the work is followed through – even when the scope is large and quick action is required.

Your tasks may include

• Remediation and cleanup after major fire and water damage
• Uncovering and demolition in connection with damages
• Mold remediation
• Setting up and supervising dehumidification equipment
• Handling and moving furniture, belongings and equipment
• Industrial and specialised cleaning
• Documentation of the work performed
• Work at height, e.g. from a lift or an elevated work platform
• Close collaboration with colleagues and project managers

We would like you to

• If you have experience from damage service, construction, industry or similar, it is an advantage – but the most important thing for us is your attitude, your work ethic and your willingness to learn
• Having asbestos certificate or experience with asbestos remediation – an advantage, but not a requirement
• Thrive with larger and sometimes complex tasks
• Be a strong team player and at the same time able to work independently when the task requires it
• Take responsibility for your task and see it through
• Have an eye for quality and deliver work you can stand behind
• Be in good physical shape and enjoy active work
• Be comfortable working at height
• Keep an overview and maintain a positive attitude when the pace is high
• Be flexible regarding tasks, workplaces and working hours
• Speak and understand Danish

Have a driving licence (category B)

A day that can change

Major and acute damages can alter the planned workday. Workplace, tasks and working hours can therefore vary when the situation requires it. The baseline for working hours is Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00.

Participation in the on-call duty is a mandatory part of the position. This means that after a fixed on-call schedule you must be able to step in outside normal working hours when an acute damage requires our help. It is a prerequisite that you can present a clean criminal record.
