Schou seeks Category Buyer - Bath textiles

-Do you want to help develop the future range of bath textiles and strong international supplier collaborations?

As a result of continued growth and increasing activity within our textile business, we are creating a new position as Category Buyer responsible for bath textiles.

You will have a central role in developing both products, suppliers and factories within the category. Together with colleagues in purchasing and sales, you will ensure that we continue to develop competitive products, strong supplier relationships and innovative solutions for some of Europe’s largest retail customers.

The role combines product development, sourcing, supplier development and close collaboration with both internal salespeople, customers and international suppliers.

Your areas of responsibility

• Develop and implement category strategies for bath textiles.
• Develop new products in close collaboration with customers, sales and suppliers.
• Ongoing monitoring of trends, materials and market development.
• Identify, onboard and develop new suppliers and production facilities.
• Drive the development of existing factories with focus on quality, innovation, capacity, CSR and competitiveness.
• Create long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers through close collaboration and continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in factory visits, audits and follow-up on improvement plans.
• Develop new products in close collaboration with customers, sales and suppliers.
• Ensure that products comply with current quality, compliance and sustainability requirements.

We imagine that you

• Have at least 5 years of experience with purchasing and sourcing from the textile industry or a similar product category.
• Have understanding and interest in production, and a desire to work with development of factories and processes.
• Are strong at building relationships and creating trust with suppliers.
• Thrive with responsibility and independent decision-making.
• Work in a structured way and see things through to the end.
• Are curious, commercial and results-oriented.
• Proficient in Danish and English in writing and speaking.

As Category Buyer you will be a visible part of our international supplier network. The position involves approximately 20-40 travel days per year, where you visit factories, participate in supplier and customer meetings, audits and international trade fairs. A substantial part of the role is to plan and carry out travel to Asia independently, where you drive development projects, follow up on quality improvements and develop our collaboration with existing and new suppliers. Travel is an important part of the job, as the development of products, factories and long-term partnerships happens close to production.
