About the job

Do you want to help create safe and secure premises for the municipality's citizens, employees and buildings?

Sorø Municipality is seeking a skilled and service-minded security and lock technician for Building Operations. You will play a central role in the operation and development of the municipality's lock, access, security and surveillance systems – both in our own buildings and at citizens' homes, where the home care service also needs access.

You will have a diverse workday where practical craftsmanship, technical system understanding and digital solutions go hand in hand. You will become part of our Energy and Technical Team and gain a great deal of independence and the opportunity to influence the municipality's future security solutions.

Your tasks and areas of responsibility

As a security and lock technician you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the municipality's lock systems and access solutions. You will work both practically with installation and service and administratively with technical systems and coordination.

Your main tasks include

  • Locks and mechanical security: Installation, replacement, fault finding and maintenance of mechanical and electronic lock systems on the municipality's properties.
  • Access solutions at citizens' homes: Setup, removal and maintenance of lock systems at citizens' homes in close collaboration with the home care service.
  • Electronic access control: Operation and administration of the municipality's SALTO system, including access rights, key fobs and electronic locks.
  • TV surveillance and alarm systems: Operation, fault finding and maintenance of the municipality's TV surveillance and security alarms in collaboration with external suppliers.
  • Planning and development: Maintenance of key and lock plans, documentation and participation in projects that develop and improve the municipality's security solutions.

You will have a wide contact interface with the municipality's institutions, the home care service, technical service staff and external partners.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a trained locksmith, security technician or have a similar technical background with relevant experience.

You have practical experience with mechanical and electronic lock systems and preferably knowledge of access control, alarm systems and TV surveillance. Experience with SALTO is an advantage but not a requirement.

We place particular emphasis on the following

  • Have a good technical understanding and thrive with practical work and fault finding.
  • Work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
  • Have good IT skills and easily learn new systems.
  • Be service-minded and good at collaborating with citizens, colleagues and suppliers.
  • Communicate clearly in Danish and treat both colleagues and citizens with respect and understanding.
  • Hold a driving license for passenger cars (category B).

You do not need to know all of our systems from day one. We will provide a good introduction to the tasks and our technical solutions.

What can we offer?

With us you will have an independent and varied position with the opportunity to use your professional skills while helping to develop the municipality's security and access solutions.

You will become part of a strong interdisciplinary environment with skilled and engaged colleagues, good opportunities for professional development and an informal tone. We prioritise collaboration, well-being and a good collegial community, where there is also room for high spirits and social events.
