About the Welcome House

In the Forensic Psychiatry Department at Sct. Hans Psychiatric Center, the Welcome House plays a central role in ensuring safe and professional access control. The operation of the Welcome House is handled by the Psychiatry's Temp Agency, and as a security assistant you will be part of a stable and dedicated team that every day contributes to the safety of patients, staff and visitors.

Your everyday life and your main tasks

The Welcome House's primary tasks include

• Carrying out access control for patients, relatives, visitors, staff and other partners.
• Operate and monitor security equipment, including baggage scanner, body scanner and millimeter-wave scanner.
• Monitor and manage visits in accordance with applicable security procedures.
• Contribute to safety by accompanying and transporting patients around the center’s premises.
• Ensure continuous, timely and accurate documentation of patients’ exits and other relevant events and records.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• Take on the role at the Welcome House reception, including registration and documentation in the Health Platform.
• Carry out the tasks in the Welcome House in a professional, trust-building and service-minded manner so that patients, relatives, visitors and staff experience safety and security.
• Prevent, handle and respond appropriately to escalated situations in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Conduct visits with patients and perform security screening of luggage to ensure that inappropriate or prohibited items are not brought onto the premises.

You will be well prepared for the task

We prioritise a thorough introduction and a strong professional onboarding so you feel well equipped for the role of security assistant. Through our training program and introduction period you will receive, among other things, instruction and training in conflict management, de-escalation communication and relevant security procedures.

In addition, you will receive thorough training in all functions at the Welcome House, including work at the reception, use of security equipment and the administrative tasks that are part of daily life. The goal is for you to acquire the necessary competencies to perform the tasks professionally, safely and with high quality.

We are looking for a service-minded, responsible and unbiased colleague who thrives in a daily routine with fixed procedures, high security and close contact with people. You manage to create security around you and work professionally, also when situations require calm, overview and decisiveness.

• Radiate calm, hospitality and professionalism, with a focus on safety, service and collaboration.
• Are good at reading signals, body language and situations and act appropriately, composed and with situational awareness.
• Desire to contribute to an important societal task and meet patients with respect, understanding and dignity.
• Have good IT skills and are motivated to learn new systems, as the job involves using several different digital solutions.

It would also be beneficial if you have experience from the service, security, health or care sectors, but the most important is that you have the right attitude and motivation to work in forensic psychiatry.

It would be advantageous to have a background as a Health Services Secretary, but this is not a requirement to apply.

Salary and employment terms

Start date 1 January 2027 or by agreement.

You will be employed in mixed shifts. Weekend shifts every other week.

You will be employed on an individual contract corresponding to the collective agreement for regional and school attendants entered into between FOA - Trade and Work and the Regions’ Pay and Tariff Board.

Your working hours are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for social and health personnel entered into between the Regions’ Pay and Tariff Board and FOA.
