Are you interested in developing software in C++ for measurement instruments that save lives?

As a software developer at ChemoMetec, you will help develop high-tech measurement instruments for the entire Life science segment. You will play an important role - both now and in relation to future product development, and in close collaboration with hardware engineers, physicists and biologists you will develop new features and workflows with a strong focus on automation and scalability.

The team

In R&D you will join 37 colleagues with different backgrounds, including mechanical and electrical engineers, physicists, programmers as well as chemists and biologists.

You will become part of ChemoMetec's software and data science group, where you will have 12 close colleagues. On a daily basis you will sit together and be able to exchange ideas with other C++ developers and have a close collaboration with the frontend team. Together you are the driving force behind the development of ChemoMetec's future instrument platform.

Your role

Your tasks will include, among other things

• Work with modular programming to ensure that the software can be reused and expanded in the future
• Develop new software services, tools and processes
• Integrate and develop API functions for instrument interface and automation of instruments
• Maintain ChemoMetec's own product platform, which in the future must support all of their software solutions
• Provide software support to the development team
• Contribute to the integration of software solutions and algorithms

About you

You take pride in writing structured, testable and solid object-oriented code. A large part of the code is built around the MVC pattern, and developers work according to SOLID principles – principles you yourself also master. You have experience with multithreading programming and related concepts, and you thrive on working in complex environments.

We also envision that you

• Test your own contributions before you hand them over to the group and are used to working with code reviews
• Preferably have experience using and automating in Azure DevOps, and are used to using GIT
• Preferably have an understanding of mathematical models or experience with programmatic image processing/analysis
• Have knowledge of Windows and Linux (C++)
• Have knowledge of unit and integration testing (CI/CD)
• Have knowledge of SQL
• Hold a degree as a civil engineer, computer scientist or have equivalent knowledge and experience
• Speak and write Danish fluently
• It is a plus if you have knowledge of or are keen to learn something about:
• HTTP REST/JSON/websocket API solutions, pub/sub TensorFlow and/or Go (golang), CUDA Python (script tooling and embedded scripting from C++)
