Do you want to help develop the cloud platform that supports the daily operations in some of Denmark's most important financial companies?

At Bankdata you will play a central role in developing robust cloud and hybrid solutions, enable better self-service for the development organization and drive the ongoing cloud transformation.

Be part of building the cloud platform that must withstand reality

Bankdata develops and operates technological solutions that are essential for the daily operations of our financial institutions. In the Cloud Infrastructure team we work, among other things, with the underlying cloud and hosting platform that must be secure, stable, scalable and easy to use.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will be an important part of our continued development of the cloud platform. You will gain an operational, tactical and strategic perspective on the technology and have the opportunity to contribute to how we build and operate our solutions going forward.

A cloud team with high professionalism and room to develop

You will become part of a team of eight colleagues consisting of developers, technical specialists and a product owner. We have extensive expertise in cloud and close collaboration with colleagues in, among other things, Network, Security and Cloud Center of Excellence.

We collaborate continuously in daily work and emphasise that you are curious about your colleagues and continually contribute to the team's development. You share your knowledge, help others succeed and contribute to creating an open and transparent dialogue. We are usually in the office, typically with the option of around 1–2 days of remote work per week.

Take ownership – and make things happen

You will have a versatile role, where you create momentum and get different disciplines and suppliers to work well together. You will help develop and execute Bankdata's cloud strategy and drive initiatives that strengthen development opportunities, operational stability and automation. At the same time you have a view on governance, risks and dependencies and translate them into concrete solutions in close collaboration with development, architecture, security and our partners.

You will, among other things, do

  • drive and advise on development and operations projects, including migrating from on-premises to public cloud
  • establish standards that make it easier for the development organization to work safely and efficiently
  • develop reusable tools and platform solutions that increase the level of self-service
  • work with cloud connectivity, networking, integrations and interfaces
  • ensure governance and ongoing development of our cloud-, hybrid- and interface technologies
  • contribute to problem and incident handling and be part of a potential 3rd level on-call rotation

You are not expected to simply solve the task in front of you. You see connections across, challenge constructively and take responsibility for ensuring that the solutions also work in the long term.

When your initial period has left clear marks

After 6–12 months you will have built solid knowledge of Bankdata's cloud setup and be a central part of our cloud migration and optimization.

We expect, among other things, that you

  • can navigate securely in Bankdata's Azure and AWS landscape and translate your experience into concrete improvements
  • have built good relationships with relevant teams, developers, architects and partners
  • work in a structured way and push initiatives forward with visible progress across dependencies
  • have contributed to concrete improvements in the platform's robustness, automation, governance or self-service
  • be a natural sparring partner when complex technical or operational problems need to be translated into durable solutions

You combine technical depth with a view of the whole

We envision that you have a master's degree in IT or a similarly relevant background and at least 3-5 years of practical experience with design, implementation and operation of infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud.

The most important is not which specific products you have worked with, but that you can document practical experience with for example:

  • cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructures
  • networking, routing, DNS, load balancing and secure communication
  • Infrastructure as Code, cloud services and automation
  • container platforms and modern application hosting
  • monitoring, logging and troubleshooting in production environments.

You will have preferably worked with complex production environments and critical systems where stability, security and compliance are an integral part of the solution.

As a person you take responsibility and create momentum. You can make complex technical problems understandable for different audiences and build trust through clear, respectful communication.

You are curious about new technology, but you do not let technology be the end in itself. You understand the business need, think holistically and can balance standardization with concrete needs. You focus on quality, testing, stability and long-term robustness – and you challenge existing solutions when there is a better path.

Development that follows your expertise

In the Cloud Infrastructure team you will have the opportunity to develop yourself through new technologies, problems and an increasing level of responsibility. Your professionalism can, among other things, open paths to project and process management as well as IT and cloud architecture. We support ongoing development through, among other things, sparring, 1-2-1, learning platforms, courses and certifications.
