About the job

Would you like to try something new? Then we can offer an exciting employment with a good opportunity to influence your workday.

We are seeking a specialist radiologist with a subspecialty in thoracic radiology. We currently have a smaller thoracic team that we would like to expand and consolidate before the entire radiology department moves to Køge, in January 2028. We are therefore looking for a radiologist with experience in thoracic radiology who can work closely with other thoracic radiologists, as well as with radiologists from other teams.

We service a large pulmonary medicine department and have very diverse tasks. We hold 2 weekly MDT conferences and a conference on interstitial lung diseases every other week. We have daily conferences with the medical department. We diagnose and monitor patients from both primary and secondary care sectors. We perform 10-15 CT-guided lung biopsies per week, and if you wish, you can join the biopsy team. We have a good and close collaboration with the pulmonary medicine department.

We are a smaller department and therefore work closely together, also across the teams, and help each other. In addition to the thoracic radiology team, we have a urological radiology team as well as an oncological radiology team. We also have a large neuroradiology team in the department. We get on well and have a friendly atmosphere among colleagues. We all strive to maintain a high professional standard. We have good contact with the clinical departments, and there is therefore not much of a gap between thinking and acting.

The Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging has, since January 2022, consisted of 6 units located around Region Zealand. You will be employed in Roskilde with the aim of moving to Køge Hospital. There will be close collaboration with the other units, and there may be periods where we need to assist other departments, and on occasion there may be attendance at other sites. In January 2028 we move the Næstved Radiology Department to Køge.

We have joint reporting lists with Køge. Køge covers acute radiology, abdominal radiology and MSK. Our RIS/PACS will be replaced by a joint Sectra system with Region H by May 2027.

At the Department of Radiology in Roskilde we are about 100 staff. We have 4 MRI scanners, 2 CT scanners, 2 ultrasound rooms and 5 conventional rooms and in Køge there are 2 MRI and 4 CT. We are busy, but we keep up the pace and spirits high.

The hospital is located right next to the station, so it is easy to get here.
