Would you like to work on exciting and varied projects within high voltage and substations, and would you like to become part of a skilled, cross-disciplinary team?

We are seeking a senior engineer with solid expertise in high voltage for our Energy business unit. The Danish electricity system is rapidly developing, which brings both complex challenges and exciting projects. Our expertise in electrical and power supply covers all aspects of electricity generation, transmission and distribution as well as market analysis in all phases, from analysis to programming to operation of the finished plant.

About the role

You will become a key team member in the Substation group, based at one of our offices in Aarhus, Kolding, Aalborg or Herlev. Here you will be responsible for both technical consulting and project management in complex high voltage projects. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues, and ensure that projects are delivered with high quality and professionalism.

As a senior engineer with project management responsibility, it is a clear advantage if you have experience with, and the ability to work with:

• Technical design and engineering of high voltage installations.
• Planning, management and execution of electrical engineering projects in collaboration with colleagues in the team.
• Advising clients and customers on technical solutions.
• Preparation of tender materials and negotiation of contracts.
• Ensuring progress, ensuring high quality in the projects, identifying risks, preparing and maintaining budgets and ensuring deliveries on time.

You should also contribute to further developing our methods and standards and contribute to a strong professional environment with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

You have a strong technical background and thrive on taking responsibility for both technology and project management. You have experience with high voltage installations and can navigate safely in complex projects with many stakeholders. You are structured, quality-conscious and have a natural ability to create momentum.

• A technical education as a power systems engineer, electrical installer, marine engineer with an electrical specialty or similar.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the electrical industry.
• Proven experience with distribution, transmission and high voltage installations.
• Competencies in supplier management, contract negotiation and reporting at management level.
• Experience with quality assurance, documentation handling and process optimization.
• Experience with project management tools.

The job requires you to work independently, be forward-looking and able to maintain an overview. You communicate clearly and effortlessly with stakeholders, both in Danish and English, in writing and speech. At the same time you use your relational skills to create cohesion and collaboration across AFRY's business units.
