Senior engineer sought for railway track design

Have you worked with track design within the railway sector and would you like to set the direction for the professional focus in a developing rail department?

Rail is a strategic focus area at Artelia with an expectation of growth, as we experience increasing demand for rail solution tasks including track design. Therefore, we need skilled and experienced engineers with experience in track facility design, 3D modeling, and who wish to help develop the Rail Department from a technical perspective.

As part of a developing area, you will have the opportunity to influence the design process in the railway sector at Artelia and contribute to its future development.

We are looking for a senior engineer with experience in track design and railway systems, where part of the daily work involves mentoring junior engineers and student assistants.

Therefore, the ability to communicate knowledge within the field and the desire to set the technical direction for the track area in Rail is important.

The Rail area is part of the Bridge & Rail department, which falls under the Infrastructure division. It consists of many other disciplines, where cross-departmental collaboration is prioritized.

Your profile

• You are a trained engineer or have experience from a similar position
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience
• User of MicroStation, Power Rail Track/Open Rail and ProjectWise
• You have a positive attitude and willingness to tackle technical challenges
• You want to join a team but can also work independently
• A good sense of humor and a welcoming disposition.

Your primary tasks

• Design of track and alignment
• 3D modeling of track facilities
• On-the-job training and sparring for junior engineers
• Technical lead for track design
• Development and optimization of the design process within the railway area
• Provide technical input to the CSM process
• Contribute with technical input to tender material.
