Senior Network Consultant – with a focus on automation and platforms

We are seeking a Senior Network Consultant who is motivated to work with modern network platforms, and who can both design, develop and optimize scalable solutions with a focus on automation.

We offer the role to you who want to combine infrastructure, platform thinking and practical development.

You will be part of our Connectivity team based in Middelfart or Ballerup, where we work with operation and further development of data center networks and Network-as-a-Service solutions. Here we help customers establish stable and scalable network foundations, where automation is a central part of the value.

You report to the management in your unit and will have a role where you are both a technical driver and a close sparring partner for colleagues and partners. You work across teams, including architects, service delivery, projects and presales, and become an important part of the development of our overall network and platforms area.

You will work in an international setup with colleagues in both Denmark and the Czech Republic and have a strong influence on how our network and automation platforms are developed and scaled.

What you will work with

As a Senior Network Consultant you will play a central role in the operation, development and optimization of modern network platforms. You work at the crossroads between classic network infrastructure and automation, where you help ensure stable, scalable and standardized solutions.

You will be responsible for operation and further development of larger data center and customer environments as well as development and maintenance of our automation platform. You work with scripting and tooling, primarily in Python and Shell, and contribute to the integration between network platforms, tools and ITSM systems.

In addition, you will work with standardization and scaling of our Network-as-a-Service services and ensure that there is coherence between design, operation and delivery.

You will become an important part of improving documentation, structure and best practices for documentation-as-code and contribute to lifting our overall platform approach to networking.

Your profile

You are an experienced network specialist with a solid technical understanding and an interest in automation and optimization. You thrive in the intersection of operation and development and work in a structured way with a focus on quality and stability.

The chances are good if you have experience with several of the following

• Operation of complex network environments, preferably from MSP or larger enterprise setups
• Switching, routing and firewall in data center environments
• Multi-tenant infrastructures
• Python and/or shell scripting
• Automation platforms and system integration

Additionally, it is advantageous if you have experience with technologies such as Fortinet, Juniper or Cisco/Meraki as well as tools like Git, Linux, NetBox or ServiceNow.

Certifications in networking are a plus, as is experience with cloud networks and broader infrastructure understanding (compute, hypervisor, backup).

You are structured in your approach and capable of planning your tasks yourself, while also supporting collaboration on shared solutions. You have the ability to create an overview in complex setups and clearly communicate technical issues.
