Senior Project Manager for Industrial Hub Zealand

Næstved and Vordingborg Municipalities are seeking an experienced project manager to drive the continued development of Industrial Hub Zealand. You will play a central role in an ambitious and politically prioritized project where physical planning, land development, and collaboration with many different actors go hand in hand.

The project is still in the startup and planning phase. Therefore you will have good opportunities to influence both the physical development, the master plan, and the further organization of the project.

About Industrial Hub Zealand

Næstved and Vordingborg Municipalities have joined forces to develop Industrial Hub Zealand, which has been designated as one of the upcoming national industrial parks.

The aim is to create a business area of international relevance that can attract larger manufacturing companies, generate jobs, and contribute to regional growth. The project is developed in close cooperation with the Danish Business Authority and has strong political support in both municipalities.

Your role

As a senior project manager, you will be the driving force for the continued development of Industrial Hub Zealand. You will create structure and forward momentum, bring together the many involved actors, and ensure that decisions are translated into concrete next steps.

Your focus will be particularly on physical planning, land development, and the further master plan. At the same time, you will play an important role in dialogue with landowners and in collaboration with authorities, utility companies, consultants, business organizations, and potential companies.

You will, among other things, be responsible for

• driving overall progress and maintaining an overview of the project's many tracks
• leading work on physical planning, land development, and the master plan
• coordinating contributions from different disciplines across the two municipalities
• building and maintaining good relationships with landowners and other partners
• collaborating with the Danish Business Authority and other external actors
• servicing and advising the political steering group and preparing decision proposals and presentations.

Overall, you will have a central coordinating role and a broad contact surface to both professional environments, directors, and the political steering group.

Who are you?

You have solid experience in project management and experience with physical planning and/or management of larger land- and development projects. Your experience could come from business parks, urban development, port redevelopment, new districts, or other complex physical development projects.

You could come from a municipality or a state organization, a consultancy or contractor industry, or a larger public or semi-public company. Municipal experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

• thrive working independently and taking responsibility
• can navigate safely between different professional, organizational, and political levels.

Your specific educational background is less decisive than your experience, but you will probably have a relevant higher education in fields such as physical planning, urban and land development, engineering, architecture, or geography.

You join early in a highly prioritized and long-term development project and will therefore have the opportunity to make a clear imprint on the further development of Industrial Hub Zealand.

Your daily organizational placement will be in a planning department in either Næstved or Vordingborg Municipality, depending on your preferred workplace. The position is a permanent full-time role at 37 hours per week including lunch, and salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement.
