Mission: Develop solutions with long-term technical value

You will become part of a cross-disciplinary DevOps team consisting of software developers, a Product Owner, a business consultant and a UX consultant. Together you are responsible for development, operation and further development of solutions that support the housing and mortgage sector.

The team works in sprints and has the freedom to professionally assess and make technical decisions within our given Bankdata framework. We prioritize high quality, knowledge sharing and joint responsibility, and we actively use AI tools as part of our development work. This frees time for what creates the most value: well-considered technical decisions, thoughtful architecture, and safe and robust solutions.

We are looking for a senior profile who wants to contribute to our strong employee culture and make their mark on our housing products, challenge existing architecture, think long-term and help shape the technical direction – both in the team and across the organization.

Your contribution – Set direction with modern software development

As a senior software developer you will play a central role in both development and technical sparring. You will, among other things, do the following:

• develop and further develop business-critical solutions with a focus on quality, stability and scalability
• drive decisions forward about architecture, technology choices and the long-term development of our system landscape
• facilitate professional sparring, code reviews and knowledge sharing in the team
• collaborate closely with Product Owner, business consultants, UX and other development teams on complex problems, which may be loosely described, to create new insights and propose solutions
• challenge existing solutions and help improve our development methods, practices and technical platforms in the housing domain.

The first 6-12 months you will

• build a deep understanding of the mortgage area and our system landscape
• create an overview of the architecture across the team and the organization
• take a central role in the architectural decisions that underpin our technical direction
• establish strong relationships with the team and your key collaborators

Your profile – Experience, curiosity and solid technical understanding

You are motivated by developing solutions that stand the test of time, and you thrive in combining software development with technical sparring, business understanding and strategic decisions.

We imagine that you

• have solid experience with software development in Java and modern backend technologies such as Quarkus, microservices and container platforms like Kubernetes and OpenShift, and not least message-based architectures (MQ)
• have experience driving architectural decisions in complex system landscapes so they are observable, resilient and recoverable
• have demonstrated your ability to tackle loosely defined tasks, create knowledge and insights and translate them into solid long-term solutions
• can break down large and complex tasks into smaller and more approachable components that can be incrementally put into production and create value
• work in a structured way and have a focus on quality throughout the process from idea to daily operation
• proactively share your knowledge and are motivated to develop both solutions and colleagues in the area
• actively seek knowledge about trends in software engineering and want to drive the adoption of best practices and new technologies, and also see AI as a natural tool in modern software development.

Having experience with Angular, microfrontends or development in regulated domains is an advantage – but not a prerequisite.
