Senior Sustainability Leader: would you lead the sustainability effort on some of Denmark's most exciting construction projects?

For our Sustainability and Environment department we are currently seeking a Senior Sustainability Leader for our head office in Søborg. The team functions as an executing competency center, supporting our projects to meet current and upcoming sustainability requirements.

You will have the opportunity to use your expertise in a varied and practical role

As a senior sustainability leader you will report to Chief Sustainability and Environment Aleksander Probst Otovic. Your tasks are wide-ranging, but your main focus is to bring your own and the team's expertise into play on our projects and tenders and support them in delivering and documenting more sustainable solutions.

Increased regulatory and client demands have sharpened focus on climate and environment, and as a senior sustainability leader you will work with our project teams to challenge conventional solutions in early project development and tendering through design and on construction sites. In addition, you will take a role related to our strategic ambitions within climate and environment, where you will be responsible for developing the department and the company.

Today, the sustainability team consists of 5 sustainability leaders and 2 senior sustainability leaders across Copenhagen and Aarhus. As a senior you are expected to contribute with your experience to maintain the professional level and therefore need to thrive being the coordinator of the professional development and sparring partner for the rest of the team. On our projects you act as sustainability leader and DGNB certification leader, contribute with knowledge and help solve the challenges we face when the project is to be certified.

Your main tasks will generally be to

• act as sustainability leader on projects from early involvement to handover
• assist our construction sites with management and documentation of sustainability requirements
• help shape tenders with a focus on sustainability
• develop processes and tools that make it easier to work with sustainability on the projects
• contribute to driving strategic climate and environment initiatives
• ensure knowledge sharing and communicate about sustainable projects

About you

You thrive with daily life including both safety boots and an office environment. You have drive and are motivated by having many different tasks.

Educationally you may have several different entry points to the position, but as a sustainability specialist you have built strong expertise that enables you to independently take on a broad range of tasks within the sustainability field in collaboration with several different disciplines.

You are good at communicating and can understand and convey complex material in an easily understandable way. Last but not least you are motivated to learn new things, expand your expertise and stay updated and ahead of developments.

We would like you to have

• have a relevant higher education (engineer, constructor, architect or similar)
• have at least 5 years of relevant experience
• be a DGNB-certified certification leader (former auditor)
• have experience with LCA at a high level
• have experience from the contracting industry, including on construction sites
